Shamandalie, is a very clever usage of words that make us people who speak English believe that this must be a Finnish name, however it is just the combination of the words sham and a lie, basically meaning completely fake... that song is still very beautiful, but I'm just letting you know "Shamandalie" does not refer to a person, therefore this song could not be about them =) |

I think this song is about realize how much you've changed thoughout the years for the good or for the bad, "i look at the reflection of what i've become" and then saying good bye to your former self that u have lost forever "This will be my funeral, for who i once was." This thought would be very stressful and disturbing so u must rely on ur self and focus all ur strength just to make it through this tough time |
