HogieWan - I'm not sure how you couldn't see the rest of the song could be about heaven. It seems like a fairly obvious interpretation of the rest of it as well.
I think it's more like, found a place in Jesus' followers, more than whisked away to heaven. Like now he's following Jesus, which is what he was created for, and he feels like he's home. |

interesting isn't it. but i don't think stephen is advertising this side project that much. becuase it is just that, a side project.
but its brilliant!
maybe some people are a bit put off by the (indie, i suppose, if you could put a lable on it) style for a start.
but on listening for a while you can really appreciate the genius. |

just watched the video clip for this song. was quite disturbed by it for a start. but it makes sense by the end. the girl is rescuing the other children from the hypnosis, which i think is symbolic of the world and its way of doing things. and when she rescues them, she dials '777' on the elevator (elevator type thingy anyway). which is the number that represents the absolute perfect that is found in God.
very cool song, and i don't like screamo.
they are very deep, which is what i'd heard, but never actually listened to and tried to decode any of their stuff before! |

i love this song.... i love the way that u2 can be interpreted in so many different ways.. as someone else put it... 'beautifully vague' .... i know there is a book out their that 'explains' some of u2's song... i also read a quote from Bono saying that he regreted making that book... because he wants the songs to be open for interpretation.... so from the man himself... interpret it how you want it! |

i reckon there is some meaning to this song.. despite just being fun! some people view the christian relationship with God like a tree.. and maybe they are saying that they want to keep getting a closer relationship with God and all the way to the top could mean until they get to heaven!
