he wrote this song about the daughter of his clarinet teacher. when he came to record the song he actually got her in the studio and played the song for her, and this is the version we hear when we put the cd on! makes it even more beautiful knowing the story that goes with the recording i think! its a beautiful song, imagine him singing 'cant take my eyes off you' whilst playing his guitar and looking into your eyes!! wow! |

rod has done a terrible version of one of my favourite songs!! the melody of bob's original is far more beautiful, i was very disappointed with rod's attempt!! i know cover versions are supposed to be different, but he might as well just pass this off as a completely different song, the lyrics are different, the melody is different!! he's basically copied bob's idea of a song and the basic layout for the song and thrown into it some tacky background music!! uhoh!! sorry rod!! |
