So amanzing. Great music with it too! I always think during this song "what would my letter from God" contain. If I where to get a personal message from the almighty what would I get told I was doing wrong, and what was I doing right? It's easy to judge Mankind as a whole but I'm part of that mess and how have I tried to help out? Thats what I take anyway. Its not just pointing out that we have kinda dropped the ball as a caring socioty but that we have no right to complain as individual as individuals make up socioty, and that God/mother nature are really the ones with the right to complain cuz we took what thy had and didn't do brill. |

| Not bragging about how smart I am. Just saying nice and smart are not opposites or mutually exclusive and being smart and arrogant don’t have to go hand in hand. Second album, "get better" well lucky for me my family taught me that lesson in my youth and I worked hard at school and got a good job. And I don't see TOO much about modesty in this song, but being too modest is a bad thing. Being modest is tailoring other people perception of you by masking and playing down your abilities and successes. Hiding who you are to protect other people? If you need protecting from other peoples success to like them then I’m sorry but I’d rather not know you (a general statement not aimed at any one). Truth is not just about telling people some of the story but about the whole story. Transparency is key! Is the truth that the Sir Alex Ferguson is a good football manager OR is the truth Sir Alex Ferguson is the most success full British manager of all time? | |

This is wicked. I think a comment on the plastic nature of the music business these days. No one lets things happen they try and induce them. They try to hard and things end up going bad. So Dan and Pip make the change and say "Right, lets not try and be the next big thing, lets just be a thing and hope we get big, lets not try and breck the mould, let just pretend its not there". Do you think David Bowie woke up and tried to change music for ever? No, he just wanted to do his own thing and if that changed the world then good luck. (but later he did do it just for the effect I know this) |

Pips real name is not David Meads. But if any of you have read "the Scroobius Pip" you'll understand why I'll not go further and tell you his name. If and when he want it to be puplicly known I'm sure he'll tell the puplic. Songs means different things to different people including the listers and the preformers. Master of Pupets by metallica is about drugs to James Hetfeild but to me it means something vastly different. This song as I see it is Mr Pip reflecting on advice either given to him or stuff he has worked out for him self. The part I feel most effects me is the last verse and is something I have been living my life by for a long time, with out knowing it. Being nice isn't easy, it doesn't just happen and you can never let your self slip into the mind set of "I'm a nice guy so I don't have to try". When you do slip into that mind set you stop bein nice. Odd right? One last thing tho, I would disagree with "In this life you can be Oh so nice or Oh so pleasent". I'm both. I'm well educated and wont be ashamed to say I'm smarter than most people I meet even if my spelling is very poor. But I'm also nice and would challenge anybody to find fault in my moral code. |

To me this song says sorry. And or help me. every one keeps using the "make me smash the clock and feel:I'd rather die behind the wheel" as a referance to cliff. As an exchange. no saying it isn't but what about the start of the line, "you make me". By seeing/talking to/thinking about some one feelings they don't want are stired up. And he'd rather die in a car crash than face them. Also the talk of needing some one and bleeding for some one. Sounds like guilt again. The lyrics after "hear me" he asks for help, then warns them, as if having caulsed them harm before and to cap it off he tells them to shoot him down if he ever regans his pride as it where. Also i think the lyrics with the title is SO important. the use of the word OUTLAW, and what could do this to a man with such little moral standing anyway. |

the frist line of this song is possibly the most powerfull line ever. "so close no matter how far". i had 2 mates they where brother and sister. meet them for when i was 11. i'm now MUCH older. that line to me sums us up. long story short, there was a falling out and now i've lost a mate, but i know that no matter who far apart we look, how much shit has happened if i needed them, they would be there. Its been over a year since we spoke last, but they know i love them and i'll do any thing for them, and nothing else matters. |

The song to me is about having to do what you don't want to. Suffering so that others might not, but also about not bitching about it. I've had to keep a few things from my friends and family. "the thorn in my side", by keeping things from them i was sowing the seeds. but its the "i am the beast that feed the fest" line that always gets me. i always felt guilty about lying to all the ppl who cared for me and knowing that in the end i was gonna hurt them all. and thats what it felt like, like i was feeding there eventual pain. and as for the bleeding of me, easy. the song in its self is kinda strength sapping, it makes me wanna give up, much like bleeding to death, how ever much you know you can't. and just as you think you have reached the end and you will just quit it change's. the song becomes strong. like ppl, just when you say you can't do it any more you rememeber why your here in the first place, and from no where you find the ability to carry on. This is what i think the song means to me. |

I think this song is about love and brotherhood, and about how when you need to be Invincible for some one else you always have the bit extra. also could be seen as a song about friendship/love and that when you find someone that close to you, you can't be spilt up. | |

I think its important to look at the title of the song, and that if cydonia is really what ppl think it is then most religon is automaticly thrown out of the window. And then add in the mention of god in the song. The song I think is saying the world is shit, god is not gonna bail us ou, but rather than live with it we should fight, because we know its shit and we can make a differeance if we try. This is also why i think the title is called KNIGHTS of cydonia. Because in days of old they would be the ones to bring about change like this. hence the coruse. |
