What's great about this song is that it's so easy to relate to. however you are, wherever you come from there's atleast one line you can relate to. how can you say you're close to god and yet you talk behind my back as though I am not a part of you? why do I say I'm fine when it's obvious I'm not? why's it so hard to tell you what I want? why can't you just read my mind? Love it. |

| My take on the line "I know he's blood but you can still turn him away, you don't owe him anything" makes me think of someone who doesn't have a good relationship with their father. He gave life to this person, but she still doesn't owe him a thing because that's all he did. I'm not sure how it would fit into the rest of the song, but anyways... | |

I think it's funny that people take this as a real interview, especially since they talk about how great the album is when the interview is ON it... Anyways, I love this. There is a great deal og humor and seriousness mixed into it. I love how when he talks about Arienette you can laugh at the humor at the same time as you're astounded by what you can find if you just look a little deeper. Just like with his songs. My gods, I love Conor's sense for these kind of things. |

It says up there "What does this song mean to you?" Well. On a personal level, it could have been written about me and my ex-girlfriend. She had no selfconfidence, was skinnier than a skeleton and incredibly ashamed of herself and her depressions. I was pretty much the same. We were best friends and for about a month we dated, before it all went to hell because we are both perfect and disastorous for each other. We used to have these periods when we just didn't talk to one another at all, and each time I thought she hated me and I erased her number from my cel to prevent myself from calling her. This song fits so perfectly it's almost scary. |
