i love the last line of this song...where she says she would die for her beliefs. i have no idea what i believe in, but to see someone so strong in what they believe in is awe inspiring. regardless of what cassie said (or what she didn't say, in this case), it's an amazing song with an amazing meaning. |

Oh my god I am obsessed with this song...and the first to comment!!! Party on!!! Anyways. I think this is about this kid who's like a monster, and he's doing these things to people, but he doesn't know that other people consider it horrible. And he's just sitting there thinking like, how does society think I should feel? I think it's an awesome song with awesomer lyrics, because the human mind is fasinating and we should always consider how even the most horrible people think. Like, it's not their fault that they were wired differently then everyone else. Of course, I could be completely wrong. :-D |

I don't know. I could be completely clueless and insane. |

I love the simple message through this song...no double meanings, everyone can get it easily, and it's a nice reminder of a timeless truth. I really don't think this band or song lyrics are anything special...but for some reason I absouLUTEly love it!!! |

Did...someone...insult...the BACKSTREET BOYS??? No, no, no, no, NO!!!! You are a horrible, horrible person!!! How can you insult THE BACKSTREET BOYS??? I mean, sure, they're a wimpy boy band--and they know it!!! You CANNOT INSULT THE BACKSTREET BOYS. (Or boys in Abercrombie pants...but that's another story.) And I agree with Panic_Its_Samantha, I like all of those bands, but I like P!atd, too. What's wrong with a little varriety? Not saying that this song is fluff, but even if it is to you, what's wrong with a little fluff? And how can you say this isn't what they were really feeling--did you ask them?? |

Wow, Amy Lee is sooo pretty. And so is that little unsober boy of hers...oh my. Were his eyes supposed to look like wolf eyes? I like the whole idea of this song, you know, "If you really loved me, sugar, you would chose me over drinking. And you only want me because I'm not available, that's why you only call when you're friggin drunk." Because too many girls let guys walk all over them because they can magically say, "I loooove you," when they're drunk. Those girls need a song saying, "Sweetheart, it's hurting both of you, go find a guy who can say 'I love you' anytime, any place." Rock on, Evanescence! Even IF this song isn't my...favorite... |

Lovely launguage ladies, really. (And if you're a guy...why the hell are you listening to this song???) Full props on you're conversational skills. Anyhoo. I love this song, because you know all those girls who blow off they're girlfriends, who will be with them whereever, whenever, for some stupid guy? Well, this song's just like, "I LOVE my friends, because they're always here, sugar." There will never be enough songs about awesome friends, because people always forget about them and write about their "love of their life". |

| Does anyone else think that this whole album might (possiblely?) be a whole story, since he's like, "Hey, dude, I'M THE NARRATOR". And then he's like, "The artists these days are not who they seem *imaginary finger wagle*" Which is what one of the other songs is about ("I Constantly Thank God For Estabon", right?)...and then "But It's Better If You Do" and "I Write Sins Not Tragedies" match up....so...I could be completely wrong, and I haven't been able to figure out just HOW they match, and someone else could've said this, but oh well, live and let live. | |

I loooove this song and I looove the music video, and the idea is so simplistic, how could you possiblely disagree? I mean, come on people, who doesn't want to go out and kill the evil fat guy who's apparent source of power is in his eye...protected by his monical. Trust me, I've had these fantasies too. No shame, no shame. Only Disturbed could do a remake of a Genisis song and make it kick-ass (not that Philly isn't kick-ass), and I looove them for it. And the hooded guy. Who cares if random "S" papers hit his chest? He stil rocks. |

Okay, okay, so I know what this song means. So don't yell at me telling me I'm wrong. Sheesh. Now that that's over. I was just thinking about this song, and like, all of the mother's it could be about, and what if it was about Mother Earth? Like, he was mad about all of the storms or something so he decided to abuse it back by....erm...cutting down allot of trees? Suuure. I love the part where he goes, "Madness is the gift that has been given to me", becuase, hello, who doesn't feel like that? We're all a bit crazy and bipolar. |
