| Reuben – We're All Going Home in an Ambulance Lyrics | 18 years ago |

At school, the choices I made were rock and roll bands and getting good grades. But "brains" and 'wearing all black', to some of these guys is like a red flag. The taste of anyone's fist is not a good vibe, or something I've missed. I was intimidated, assaulted; and for what? I hope they choke. shrugged off the shit of my youth - like growing up late or losing a tooth. But it's not a matter of age - they're everywhere, these people don't change. [spoken] When I was in New York a woman tried to start a fight with me because she thought I was Jewish! And somehow it felt wrong to tell her the truth, that I wasn't. And I point the guns at you. [/spoken] "You're going home in a fucking ambulance" We're all going home in a fucking ambulance. I saw a man with blood on his face from beating up Black kids. I can hardly Breathe! Your race, Your faith, Just your clothes inside. They drink, They fight, it's not safe out tonight. Your race, Your faith, Just your clothes inside. They drink, They fight, so don't go out tonight. And if your Mum and Dad hit you, as a child - I feel sad for you, but that's no excuse for it. Who says it's OK, to behave in this way? I can't help but feel exhaust. For the sake of of our own skin, we walk away. And it's like we are saying "that's alright, that's alright, that's alright." I wish I had the guts to stand up for myself and for others as well, against these fuckers. Shit! *** I'm uncertain about alot of that - but word on the street is that the lyrics are on the inlay, so I should probably just buy the album and find out (y) |

| Arctic Monkeys – This House Is a Circus Lyrics | 18 years ago |

I know this has nothing to do with the meaning of the song - but it reminds me of the episode of Skins, for anyone who watched, where Tony's sister Effy went to that crazy house, "where the rich kids come to die". And the two guys she was with injected her and she ended up in hospital? Just because everyone in the house was high/drunk and it was the most crazy environment ever. |

I think the whole song also represents a recognised annoyance amongst guys when girls are keen to move things on - the guys obviously wondering why things should change if they're fine the way they are. 'why get engaged when we love each other as it is?' etc etc. |

| Radiohead – 4 Minute Warning Lyrics | 19 years ago |

so no one else thinks it's about the London Bombings? It's the first thing I thought of when I heard it.. "running from the bombers" "running from the underground" I think because I initially thought one of the lines was "should have known way back", which who ever posted this thinks is "soon I'm gonna wake up". But yeah, I listened to the song and I think I might be wrong . However, still reminds me of the London Bombings |
