i think you need to watch the video to get a better idea. the inkblots signify, to me at least, that this song is purposely left open to multiple interpretations... kind of like, well, inkblots in the first verse he refers to his own coming of age experience ("me") and how it could be viewed as "crazy"... in the second verse he refers to someone ("you") we can only imagine is someone cares about who he sees going down a path that he followed at one time and doesn't want to see repeated... warning them that they are being "crazy".. in the third verse, he refers to his influences ("them") and how he idolized them. and now that he's reached their status, he feels he can die in peace.. but then maybe we're all just being "crazy"... i dunno.. no matter the meaning, there's a great vibe on this tune. |
