| Lamb of God – What I've Become Lyrics | 19 years ago |

I think this song refernces the music industry, and all the bullshit that comes with it. "they can't remember when There were once honest reasons It's all a lie, it died 100,000 miles ago Pretending I'm still here." I think randy is tlakin about the band. They consitently talk about how they never intended on gettin famous and puttin on the show like they have to and make refernces to being bound by the industry thoughout the song. "nothing now is what we meant it to be Pretending I'm still here It's a system now, intertwined Take your place in line to be ground by the gears of the masterpiece." It's just a reflection of what they've become over the years from a no name metal band from richmond who no one gave a fuck about to the biggest metal band of their time. Justify what I've become, sanctify what I've become Amazing disgrace... (how) sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me Better lost if this is found, best blinded never to see The race to save face, nothing now is what we meant it to be Pretending I'm still here It's a system now, intertwined Take your place in line to be ground by the gears of the masterpiece Betrayal. Suffered consequence It's been so long any piece of this made any kind of sense You anoint the king, I'll burn everything down to ashes You giveth, I taketh away It's a system now, intertwined Take your place in line to be ground by the gears of the masterpiece Betrayal. |

| I think everyones got the right idea. If you really try to see the meaning behind alot of lamb Of Gods lyrics you realize that Randy or Mark or whoever wrote these lyrics weaves in and out of political and religious themes. lamb of God has always been anti-religion and anti government, especially liberal Randy. ON emintue he's talkin almost in refernce to god and the next he's talkin about his nation. Like alot of the stuff its a combination of both. | |
