| Less Than Jake – Nervous In The Alley Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| i think this song is about being victim of some sort of injustice, and not fighting back. and the person is realising he didn't fight, in his mind he was braver than that. and now he has no more chance to defend himself, so he's left out with "that feeling" of, basically, failing. | |
| Simon and Garfunkel – Me And Julio Down By The Schoolyard Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
i had always thought this song was about a girl who was caught going out with a boy (julio), probably older that's why it was against the law. also the gay sex version sounds very logic to me, but none of those explain what does Rosie, the Queen of Corona has to do with it. Anyway, we already heard garfunkel saying not even him knows, so we are free to imagine whatever we want. |

| Fenix TX – Surf Song Lyrics | 17 years ago |

Hanging at the beach one day and I heard someone say that that if I was cool i'd be surfin' That's when I decided I wasn't gonna be some punk kid gettin' sand kicked in his face and losing all the chicks! Wish that I was cool I wish I was surfin' Wish that I was cool I wish I was surfin' and every single day to a bus that takes me away Wish that I cool I wish I was surfin' Went out and got me a board even bought me a bungee cord When I finally caught a wave, got washed into a cave How much practise can it take I mean i've already seen Point Break and if Keanu can do it, then I can too Wish that I was cool I wish I was surfin' Wish that I was cool I wish I was surfin' and every single day to a bus that takes me away Wish that I was cool I wish I was surfin' You know that I don't mind hangin' out and wastin' time yeah yeah Starin' at the sea all day waitin' for that perfect wave yeah yeah Wish that I was cool I wish I was surfin' Wish that I was cool I wish I was surfin' and every single day to a bus that takes me away Wish that I was cool I wish that I was surfin' yeah ------------ |

| Millencolin – cash or clash Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
this song is wonderful. from what i understand it is about segregation, as it says. he is describing this nice expensive neighberhood where everything seems perfect, but you only see rich blonde people there, and they pretend no one else exist. keeping away everything that doesn't fit with this perfect little world. (If it's strange we panic. Yeah, we won't come near.). And the problem is the other people (No, the problems organic. Yeah, it will stay here.) i dunno if Wellpark Tramstation is real or a muck place, but i guess is a transport station where they have to meet all this real people they are so afraid of. a. smith is adam smith, father of political economy. |

| The Cranberries – Ode To My Family Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
i think this song is about a great childhood in a loving family, even when the sorrounding circumstances weren't the best. that's the unhappiness she didn't give a damn about, because her parents taught her to see the good side of life and overcome hard stuff. she grew up, left home and that's "out there" and saw a world completely different to what she had seen before. where no one cares. |

| Sinead O'Connor – Fire On Babylon Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| i saw it on wikipedia too. after her parents divorce, she went with her mother and there they were physically abused. | |
| Millencolin – Lozin' Must Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
so... he's first talking about how he feels less than others on conversations... i guess (from the last paragraph) that are conversations about life. then, about a girl he's going out with, and how he's not sure about her feelings. and how it's a crap when your team's loosing. i'm not sure at all, but i think this must be about being confused with the small things of life, but still not loosing trust in yourself. my english is awful... what does lozin' must means? |

| Bouncing Souls – Better Things Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
didnt know it was a cover... it's a great song, with inspiring lyrics, i wish it was theirs. i think lyrics are very simple, it's like dedicated to a friend who's having an awful time... but it will end (apparently soon) and this friend is getting over those things, he's laughing again and everything. basically the songs is saying "i wish you the best, you've been strong, and now bad times are ending" |

great song.. got a couple of questions, maybe someone knows... 1. is he yugoslav, wasn't nikola swede? 2. what's boule? 3. what's a Miat? 4. what's T.O.? Pennybridge is Ôrebro, their hometown, that literrally translated means penny bridge. the belgrade airport is named after Nikola tesla, dunno if there's any relationship. |

| NOFX – The Man I Killed Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| i think this whole song is through the convict's perspective. Convict seems to be the weaker piece of a well planned murder... someone in a good position (a politician or an executive or something...) wanted someone else's place, so he managed to make the convict hate this "someone else" who seems to had been fucking everything up. That's why convict thinks he made the ultimate sacrifice, cause he knew he would go to death row if he killed this man, still he prefered that. anyway, at the end he realizes his sacrifice was in vain. | |
| Good Charlotte – Superman Can't Walk Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| this song is uses the christopher reeve case (he acted as superman and he had an accident that left him paralitic) as a metaphor somehow. the irony that superman, the man who could fly and stop a train, now can't even walk. and now, if "superman" is not here to save us... who is gonna do it? what is there left for the rest of us, if not even this superguy is going good. | |
| Bouncing Souls – True Believers Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
comment about song meaning, not if you like or not. yeah... this song is about friends, the people you meet during your life. i dont think there's any direct relation with god or religion, see... i think they say they are the true believers because they can trust in their friends, they believe in each other. |

| Rancid – Arrested In Shanghai Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
about he saying "my only weapon i call poetry", i won't say anything about rhyming and stuff, because i don't speak english that good, neither know the rules. but, ok, there have been many incidents at tenanment square. first i thought he was talking about the 1989 incident, but there was another in 1976, where people protested during the "tomb sweeping day", that day, many protestors' poems where posted along the square. poems that seemed to be about the death ones, but also about government. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tiananmen_Incident |

| Unwritten Law – Geronimo Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
i agree with dropout surfer. this song is totally about suicide. first of all, this guy is obviously depressed: he wants to leave it all behind, and don't look back, and forget everything. and it seems like he's going to jump from a building or something, because in movies and stuff (i've never heard about it in real life) when people jump from really high places they scream out "geronimo"... why? i dont know, maybe it is related with something in the book "the last of the mohoawkans" where the indian warrior geronimo appears. i dont know, i've never read the book. also the "here i go" parte before "geronimo" sounds like 'catch me cause here i go'. im not really sure about this last thing because my english sucks and that's what i understand. but im pretty pretty sure this is about suicide, jumping from a bridge or something... or at least wanting to . |
