i wouldn't say it was 'suicide' because of the line "may i say i loved you more"
If she is dying it would be not preventable because she didn't want to tell him about it. thus "hanging in suspense" in the first verse. Maybe a disease or cancer?

Well.
I think the lyrics tell a story of a couple, whereas the female leaves/dies and the male then developing a drinking habbit to potentially 'drown' out his worries. |

Eh. I would have to disagree with you all.
This song is about Kris's long distance relationship with his girlfriend in Australia. (As in their song "The Beautiful Mistake").
He wants to stay with her, but shes falling away from him due to the distance they are apart. |

The music along with this song, (the violin, piano, flute, xilaphone, ect) makes me thing of a childs song (or possably a fairytale?), upbeat soundlike lullaby, which it of course isnt the case when he starts with the first time. |

I love acoustice/indie music, but the guys voice is a bit to whiney/emo. It also sounds like he tried to fit too much into one song, I dont know if you could understand, but he talks too little on things and doesn't ebreviate on them alot. There's alot of good lines in the song though. |

I'm inlove with this song.
Not sure but i think the focus in it is about a breakup, with the guy cheating on his girlfriend, and when he confessed about it during the breakup, she told him she knew it all along, but didnt want to believe it.
And then ends it with her forgivement. With him not understanding why she is so forgiving, and loving. And then him repeating to himself that he will learn from this mistake he make. |

This song is by far my favourate song, and has been for years since i heard it.
From my understanding of it. I believe it is a story about a boy (if you can say that) promising to always be by his friends side, to never lose sight of her. Then something drastic must of occured in her life, the boy "blinked" and ignored her signs of plead, and she ended up suiciding.
It then goes on to the boy being in denial; exepting what has happened, but rather trying to avoid it, "laying next to his deceased friend, eyes closes and screaming"
He then goes further into it more explaining he is worthless without his friend and attempts to try and "wake" her up, not wanting this on his concious but of course failing.
The letter the girl left then explains that it is not his fault, and to not miss him, even though that may sound rediculous to him.
The song finally goes back to the boy being in denial again about the death of his loved one. "you didnt sleep alone I laid there with you" also may suggest that his friend didnt go through her hard times alone, but with him?
"breath for me, breath for me" Finally he's realising his friend is dead. and attempting to "wake her"
The last line then "wake up..." is his final plead to his friend in desperation. He's asked continously for her to "wake up" and he has not succeeded, this final plead is the boy giving up, with his last hope for her to come back to him. |

Also at the beginning of the song, I've noticed no one has mentioned the part "I can kiss away your tear, but not a flood" intentionally meaning that he cant fix the whole self image problem, but try to help her out of it. |
