I doubt this is anything like what Depeche Mode was trying to convey...but this song really speaks to me about my eating disorder, anorexia. The lyrics make me feel like I and my disorder are best friends, unable to leave one another, even though it feels so wrong. I feel safe, secure, with anorexia...forgetting to sense I'm dying, as the song states. |
