yes i agree with 'King of Some Island',
I saw Ian Brown on his last tour of Australia, He sounded terrible live, but i guess he was never the greatest voice, though his lyrics are gold. |

This song really conects with me. i think that it is about being regected and seen as diferent by sociatys mainstream. its about wanting an exit and the only exit is death, 'You wanna see the light'.
Also i think it deals with drinking to ease pain,
'Sometimes its my life i can't taste' drinking numbs the pain.
Also 'Sometimes i cannot feel my face' means that you no longer express any emotion and you don't know what you are feeling.
Its about wanting to be accepted |

Yeh, theres a lot of shit music out there. and thats why we need to make bands like stone sour be heard. also is it true that Corey Taylor dosn't scream like he did in slipknot pre subliminal verses, because all of the screaming destroyed his voice and now he can't sing as hard as he could |

| 50 Cent – In Da Club Lyrics

This lyrics are impossible to comment on. this is because of the blatent meaning to the song, and all of his songs. real lyrics can be interpreted in many ways where the reader has to think about what is being said. Brilliant lyricists such as Manson or bands like Korn or even Radiohead are able to deliver deep meaningful songs which deep conversation can be contributed to. Also in my opinion todays mainstream lyrics such as this are dumbing down sociaty and some of you people don't even realise it.
Not that i really judge people on what music they listen to, i just believe that people should be more aware of what they are listening to and the importance of it. a song about being in a club is hardly important to the world whereas other songs by the bands i previously mentioned have meaning to the world and current affairs.
by the way this is just my oppinion and you are entitled to yours but i think rap is not music or art. and that all of those underground rap artists who want to make it big are just believing in a pipe dream, a world of exploitation and false glorification. |

| Marilyn Manson – The Reflecting God Lyrics

Think about this songs meaning in terms of globalisation. Manson is expressing the effects of globalisation on poor nations, also he is saying how rich countries are unaffected by this.
My reason behind the globalisation thing is, i was learning it at school and the teacher used very similar terminology to the lyrics in this song. eg, 'And the world gets smaller'.
Think about it :) |
