Nepenthes, the term is symphonic metal. Read up on it at wikipedia if you want to learn more about it. There are lots of variations of metal. It doesn't all sound like Master of Puppets. Just because you don't like it, doesn't mean it's bad or that people who do like it don't appreciate "what came before."
