hmm... personally to me this song makes me think of Gerard coming to a complete closure with his substance addictions... He's been pretty proud of himself over this album, he said it's the first one where he's been completely sober. Metaphor with people, maybe? |

aaaah. listening to this one on repeat... makes me think of my school and how we're all secretly dirty lying backstabbers, like anything to get a leg up. i think it is sort of a reference of the typical highschool scene, but it does lean heavily towards having a bit of the O.C. in it. come on, shaant's in love with that show and Cali in general. it's true. he cried when marissa died, it said somewhere on his myspace. xD good song, good song. |

hmm. i think that this song is sort of a metaphor for how everyone becomes slaves to materialism... like 'miss murder' is the power that took over everybody. and the chorus (can i make beauty stay if i take my life?) is an act of martyrdom from the person singing the song. it makes more sense with the video i think. LOVETHISSONG. :D |

Hmm... to me.. I think this song could be maybe a little bit about how he has to leave all his friends behind while he's being all famous-esque... and maybe a certain girl back home still feels for him, but it is hard to keep a relationship like that, or maybe he's grown too insensitive to pretty words (hence, save your scissors). Just a random guess. |
