Rather than throwing the slang spanish into freetranslation.com, maybe words like "Pa' " should be changed, and the slang translated separately. It'd work better, but not completely. For example "Pa' activar los anormales" doesn't just literally mean "in order to activate the abnormal." Anormales is used hear to talk about the big greats of reggaeton rap (like the american Tupacs and Biggies, sort of) "that I am loose as gabete" is just funny. XD 'estoy suelta como gabete,' is a great thing to say in spanish class, kids! |

I totally didn't even think of the drug reference, though now it makes more sense than my first interpretation. The impulive roaming around, insomnia, thinking that you think too much, racing thoughts, and the word crackerman (what you may call someone who's a nutjob) seemed to me like bipolar. Also sometimes there's this word/sound connection while the mind races (rubber band changes to gun in hand = impulsive rage; more significantly is the wind traps/ mud flaps stuff) Seemed like a manic stream of consciousness, and I know he's bipolar and unmedicated by choice. That's make sense if he wrote this before his heroin problem. I guess mania looks a lot like heroin addiction. :) |

"I am my own parasite" seems to say 'I am feeding off myself.' This could be interpreted as either 'I feed and grow off my own energy', which relates to a manic phase in bipolar disorder, or it could be interpretted as the opposite: 'I eat away at, and destroy myself' "I don't need a host to live" is self-reliance or not wanting others around to bother you. "we feed off each other" is just that. It suggests a relationship between two people who feed off eachother's energy and grow out of it, or are destructive toward each other, but not in an ill'intentioned way. "We can share endorphines" matches the first idea of that relationship, in sharing pleasure, but also sharing chemicals/hormones. literally feeding off and living off eachother. Though he may not be referring to two different people. It may be two states of mind. as for the alternating "doll steak" "test meat" and "test meast" "doll steak", it's a bit more abstract and is likely just randomly thrown in there. That seems to be his style. If you were to analyze it, you'd notice that the order is flipped after the 1st and 2nd verse, then flipped back after the 3rd. doll steak, test meat to test meat, doll steak. It seems like a hint to change the order: Doll Test or Test Doll and Steak Meat or Meat Steak. It's still abstract, but noe steak and meat match, so doll and test might too. Test Doll sounds like a crash test dummy to me, and I'm probably over analyzing something I shouldn't analyze at all but.. It suggests something, or someone, who is expendable and just thrown around. Their feelings don't matter much as they are just a sack of "meat", or a "test doll" "Look on the bright side is suicide" seems to have been interpretted here as "look on the bright side, you can still commit suicide" but I saw it as meaning" to look on the bright side is suicide" or Optimism, getting your hopes up, is suicide; it'll disappoint you in the end. "Lost eyesight, I'm on your side" Blind, having lost sight of something, and I'm on your side is encouraging. It could be like in the fist verse with two people or two mindsets, one's lost its sight, but the other is still on his/her/its side "Angel left wing, right wing, broken wing" angel, a creature with wings representing some sort of purity or eternity, seems to have a broken left wing and a broken right wing, and is crippled, or at the very least now nothing more than just a human. A crippled angel goes with the theme of "look on the bright side is suicide. the pure creature representing hope is crippled. Hope is crippled. Otherwise, it could be political. left wing and right wing. both are broken/crippled. ineffective. That's a little less likely though. "Lack of iron and/ or sleeping" relates to something from pennyroyal tea: "I'm so tired and I cant sleep...I am anemic royalty" Anemia, which i was told I had sometime last year, is a lack of iron in the blood. It makes you pale, weak, and tired. He's saying he hasn't been getting enough iron or enough sleep, as explanations for why he feels tired, weak, and sick. Or that he alrady has anemia, but its's even worse because he has insomnia and isn't getting enough sleep. That can make you really miserable, and cause a swing into depression for manic-depressive types. "I own my own pet virus, i get to pet and name her" goes with the parasite theme in the first verse. It's a parasitic relationship, that is welcomed and embraced in a way. "Her milk is my shit, My shit is her milk" is a symbiotic rlationship, which reinforces that idea. "protector of the kennel" protector of the dogs, the underlings, the inferior. like being on the side of an angel who has lost sight. "Ecto-plasma, Ecto-skeletal" spirital and corporeal. spirituality is normally pure, but ecto-plasma is the gross gunk left behind. Ecto-skeletal is the opposite of what we're used to, the skelaton is on the outside. The outside is internalized (introverted personality) and the outside is a protective shell. Or it's that everyone can see your inside, you're exposed or too easy too read. "Obituary every birthday" has been said to be reincarnation. I saw it as Irony actually. For every baby born, someone else just kicked it. "Your scent is stioll here in the place of my recovery" Is like someone's scent/presence lingers after they've left, though your're trying to a)get over them, b)forget or stop thinking about them, c)in the case of an introvert, even if you really like being with someone, you may still need some alone time to recover and collect yourself again. He may not even be talking about another person there. He's probably addressing the parasite still, which may or may not be himself. His last mindset still lingers as he tries to return to normal. |
