There is something magic about snow, and she captures it with this song.

Incredible String Band – A Very Cellular Song Lyrics 16 years ago
Love this song. The ending is great, and I'm guessing the Grateful Dead used the second verse for a live album of theirs. I'm not sure, though.

Devendra Banhart – Poughkeepsie Lyrics 16 years ago
I live in the Hudson Valley, around New Paltz area. I've been to Poughkeepsie a number of times. It is a cool place, but i'm not sure why he chose to write about it either. Good song though.

Donovan – Legend of a Girl Child Linda Lyrics 16 years ago
I love this song. The first two lines are my favorite.

And yeah, Donovan DID write this song, I don't know where you heard otherwise.

Donovan – Ferris Wheel Lyrics 16 years ago
WOW...I love this song. I just listened to it while under the influence of marijuana, (haha). Let me tell you how I heard him beautifully sing these lyrics.

A girl walking on a moonlit shore, sees a carnival in the distance. she goes, then gets in line for the ferris wheel, and I think the point of mentioning her hair being caught in the top, is just to show that she is at the top of the ferris wheel. i'm not sure about the second verse, but here is what i think lines by lines. she shall ride bicycle by the shore to clear her head, Then her hair will heal from being caught in the ferris wheel, and she is going to need "Samsons strength'' to go through this process. then dry your eyes of the tears, and look what the seagull went through to make her nest, you need strength to achieve your dream. And then he says ''if ever i reach her'', by saying this he lets it be know that they BOTH are trying to reach a dream, and it deepens the song. Her dream is to repair her hair? idfk, but his dream is to reach her, get to know her, she must have been good looking. AND THE MORAL TO tHE STORY-follow your dreams to the end,, kinda explains everything right there. Then once again, look what the seagull does.

I love ferris wheels after this song.

Ok i love the beat and bass to this song, give both some more attention next listen you give it, the lyrics are amazing, but the way he sung them! the melody is amazing. it has an all-knowing, dreamy feel to it. I love it.

Bob Dylan – Subterranean Homesick Blues Lyrics 17 years ago
The way I see it, this song has two meanings. The first one is "It's Hard", and the second, "Dig Yourself". During the video, besides the last card that says "what???", he shows two cards that don't go with the lyrics. The first one says It's hard and the second one says Dig Yourself. This song isn't about methlabs or making unerground LSD, it may have references, but is not about that. Instead of looking at it line by line...look at it as a whole. He is saying it is hard but you have to keep trying and don't let things get to you. You were made how you are for a reason, and so, becasue of that, DIG YOURSELF.

Pink Floyd – Comfortably Numb Lyrics 17 years ago
the way i see the song, (and if you watched the movie you probablly get a different point of view), is that he doesn't really care for anything anymore...which is obvios when he says "I have become comfortably numb". If you saw the movie, at this part it shows a flashback to when Pink was a child, and he found a rat, he cared soooo much for this rat, he took off his sweater and made a bed for it, but then when it died, he was devistated and started crying and looked like he was running away. The verses are coming from a doctor. I love this song and i got the privelage of seeing Roger Waters perfrom this LIVE just the other night, it was one of the greatest things ever. Allthough the guitarist was good, he had nothin' on David Gilmour. ;)
