| AFI – Fainting Spells Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
Wow, this must be one of my favorite AFI songs and there are only three comments. I love it so much it makes me want to die a little. |

| Hellogoodbye – Homewrecker Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| It may also be about him being in a relationship with a girl, and then another comes in and breaks them up. He ends up falling for the "homewrecker" but she moves on and he still loves her and hopes she'll come back. | |
| Hellogoodbye – Homewrecker Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I think he was interested in a girl who was not interested in him. She moved on easily but he is not able to. His "house" is still a mess and he still has hope, wanting to win her back. Even though she hurt him it's hard for him to "lock his doors" because he would still gladly accept her back into his life/house. | |

| Has anyone else noticed that Bryce commented in 1923? | |
| AFI – This Celluloid Dream Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I think it's about being with someone in a dream and then waking up to see they're not there. You're only visiting in the dream and you don't want to wake up. It's almost like a movie. It's only temporary. | |
| AFI – This Time Imperfect Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
He's obviously talking about something that's haunting him, but he can't get the words out to tell someone. He believes they don't care, but he needs to share it. He feels weakened, and doesn't think his words will be good enough. "Just these stark words I find." I think everyone's reading too much into it -- I don't see death or funerals in this song, but that's just me. Then again, this song means everything to me because the meaning above is exactly how I've been feeling. So my interpretation could be a bit biased. |

| Northstar – The Accident Underwater Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
"And it got so bright it died, And blew up all over the inside, Of my leather white eyes" -- That part makes it sound like someone went blind, maybe? I have no idea what this song means. |

| AFI – Miss Murder Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
It's talking about God and how nobody believes in him anymore, thinking he left them all behind to rot. Yet it's the greed and the selfishness of the people keeping him away. "We're the empty set, just flowing through, wrapped in skin Ever searching for what we were promised Reaching for that golden ring we'd never let go But who would ever let us put their filthy hands upon it?" We believe we were "promised" to be sent to heaven, hence the "golden ring" an angel might wear. The "filthy hands" refers to the greed of humans now. Really, Davey is asking if he took his life, could he then make a statement that could restore the beauty of the human race? This song is really about how retarded people are. That's probably why I like it so much, heh. |

| Finch – Without You Here Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| It's about that false hope you get when you know you're losing someone, but you tell yourself everything is fine. I've been in this exact position, so this song is pretty important to me. | |
| Thursday – For The Workforce, Drowning Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| This song is absolutely amazing... | |
| Nine Inch Nails – Even Deeper Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| ...I think it's about him being bi. | |
| AFI – Silver And Cold Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| But it could also be about using someone for sex and feeling guilty about it. "Your sins into me" could be implying the act of intimacy. He wants to escape- "As a rapturous voice escapes, I will tremble a prayer." - and maybe uses sex to do so. | |
| AFI – Silver And Cold Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I believe it's about staying loyal to one that has left you. I could have this totally wrong though. | |
| AFI – The Interview Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| To me, it seems he has gotten deceived. Maybe it's just me, but it seems he put his trust into someone and then got hurt. | |
| Thursday – The Lovesong Writer Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Can anyone explain to me the part about the Queen of Spades? | |
| Thursday – The Lovesong Writer Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
The correct lyrics: Fifty red roses falling apart In the hands of someone that you SCRIPTED and left behind All of the others SCORNED BY THEIR LOVERS showed up at your door |
|
| Thursday – Even the Sand Is Made of Seashells Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| This song seems to be about a lost love, most likely a first love as seen in the line, "We step into the shallow end, to see what love is like." I can relate to this song quite deeply at the moment, especially the part about the distance between them: "Echos in the distance with the sound of your voice. Nothing's ever seemed so far away. Wave after wave it's calling me..." | |
| Thursday – Understanding In A Car Crash Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
This song is about dealing with loss through drug use. "We followed white lines to the sunset." "The needle and the damage done." The car crash is a metaphor for the effects of the drugs. He just wants to sit back and forget. |
