Sugarcult – Real Man Lyrics | 15 years ago |
Presuming this really is a song by Sugarcult, this their only song I've nver heard. Does anyone know where it can be found? |
The Ataris – Ben Lee Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I'm not a HUGE Ben Lee fan or anything but I quite like a few of hi songs. PunkInideGirl, I gotta say.. i think you're right on the money here!!! |
Hard-Fi – Cash Machine Lyrics | 17 years ago |
wow snoopfroggyfrogg, you take this too seriously. As a matter-of-fact yeah "he" is talking about what "he" feels he need's to do. The point here is "he" ain't the singer, have you got that? A "cowardly" thing to do would be never include unadmirable lyrics because idiots like you will get the message wrong. The "my girlfriend's test tunred blue" verse is also pretty moving (sad) cos it states a typical situation that really can arise because of money, something that people are only short of because of the few who insist on having SO much more than they need and do it by exploiting others. Great song (catchy, lol) pretty obvious what it's about. |
Saliva – Click Click Boom Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Ok.. When I first heard this song I paid no attention to the lyrics and i agree "click, click boom" does make you instantly think of a gun. CLEARLY this song is about him making music and not about guns or SUICIDE! (Any guns are HIGHLY metaphorical - lol) I like the "clicking of the pen" idea. As making music is what this sone is about. Go up and read the lyrics with that in mind! |
Jimmy Eat World – A Praise Chorus Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I see this as a song about acting today instead of tommrow, only look forward, don't look back. Two of my favorite lines: "stick around nostalgia won't let you down", spend your life thinking only about the past: you won't regret it. Totally irnoic statment! "i wanna fall in love tonight.", try to achive the difficult, impossibley quickly; the very driving force behind humans. I love it!! Jimmy Eat World rock! As for "Crimson and Clover, over and over", ""Crimson and Clover" was a song by Tommy James and the Shondells, look it up! |
Dope – Let's Fuck Lyrics | 17 years ago |
WHAT does it mean? :p |
Anti-Flag – America Got It Right Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I read these lyrics and I think the word "sarcasm" springs to mind! (Bar possibley the 2nd to last verse). |
Sugarcult – Yesterday Lyrics | 17 years ago |
This song is called "Insane". |
Sugarcult – Giving Up Lyrics | 17 years ago |
There's no such song as "Giving Up", see "Drive All The Way" for the real song. And yeah that's wrong too cos the song is actually called "Drive All Day" but at least it will all be under one name that way! |
The Offspring – Self Esteem Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Oh yeah, and the little bit of sarcasm! "But I really think it's better this way The more you suffer The more it shows you really care Right?" Love it!! |
The Offspring – Self Esteem Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Pretty straight forward song really and it is about a guy who is said "I" in the song who is being used by a girl, said "her" who probably would be an ex-girlfriend. Since he has "no self esteem", she probably left him and still wants sex on demand, (to make herself feel better?) Ashley's comment does sadden me but in all fairness I think most likely a guy used her at some point but maybe she is just plain sick. Guys do this crap just as much as girls and the although the way they do it may change, the princible stays the same. The Offspring wouldn't taking a moral view point on this just rather a male observation. Despite all this, I love the song for a) capturing a very realistic mind frame and letting you inside. b) being a damn catchy tune ;) |
Sugarcult – Perfect Lyrics | 17 years ago |
This song is called "The Investigation". Go there. |
Hellogoodbye – If You Wanna, I Might Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Pretty obvious meaning to this song really. It's about really liking someone you don't think likes you anywhere near as much. Somewhere I'd guess we've ALL been. I find this bit kinda funny: So if you wanna say "I like you" I might feel just like you If you choose not to I knew you would |
Hellogoodbye – Homewrecker Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Quite obvious its about an ex-girfriend who he doens't much care for! Great lyrics and a seriously catchy song. Nothing less than you would expect from these guys. |
Sugarcult – Los Angeles Lyrics | 17 years ago |
NEVER? "I've given up, i don't five a fuck. I'm tired of being oridnary!". |
Sugarcult – Makeup (Pretty Waste) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Obviously a song about how society pressures people (particularly girls) to look and possibly act the same. But when i hear this song i think of the superficcialiality of it, there's no dobut there is a LOT of girls just like this one. One line i wonder if anyone has thought about is "she's just the perfect one for me. ". Something about guy's 'exploiting' the insecurites of people like this? "she's such a bore." - whats more boring than trying to be like everyone else. Its almost sad how easy it is to understand this , but its a great song!! |
Sugarcult – Los Angeles Lyrics | 17 years ago |
DAMN i love this song. Anway... At what pyrites_gliterati said, can i just point out The Lyrics in Daddy's Little Defect it says "Keep your secrets away from me if you want to be mine". It's fair to say this isn't sung from THIER point of view and this is probably the same. I think "a gril who doesn't talk back", "A job that gives me slack", "sex without a catch" etc. Pretty sure this is what Los Angelans want according to the song. Whatever it means its very catchy! |
