Judged by the video,the song is about the environment and global warming.I agree with native-savage-5150 that "It's a beautiful lie It's a perfect denial Such a beautiful lie to believe in.." that global warming doesn't exist or its not a major threat. |

| This song is amazing.I remember listening to it for the first time when I was a child and at that time my impression was that it was about realizing a dream,like when you're on one side trying to achieve your dream and you finally break on through to the other side and realize it.The references discussed here such as drugs or death make sense but the song always evokes the same meaning for me as I had realized in my childhood.It brings me that sense of trimuph.I think the movie wasn't good at all..I didn't see much of Jim Morrison's artistic side,it seemed in the movie that he never took time to THINK about anything,could this be true about an artist?Val Kilmer didn't evoke Jim Morrison on stage..The expression on Jim Morrison's face..so confident,calm..he was so charismatic..Val Kilmer didn't get anywhere near that. | |
