I think that its a back up for honour. If you look closely at honour i think thant u can see how Ronon's saying whats happening now, how we feel, what will happen on this path and just how wrong it is. The last line in this song backs up that message clearly. but i feel that this song is equating the atrocities of the crusades with the wars in the middle east today. Bush actually did the same thing himself in one of his addresses following 9/11. "This Crusade, this war on terror." I think that this warns people of the dangers not of believing in a god, but by forcing a belief in god upon themselves. You shouldn't have to seek a god. You should be able to find one naturally, or simply not have one. When speaking of those who believe in god or thier current faith I think that thats great, they are content with their beliefs and generally don't feel threatened by opposing views on religion. But, I find those who force THEMSELVES in to believing something that they trully don't to be ... terrifying, they feel a need to silence their doubts of it, the doubts that make them who the are. It repressing those doubts, the god that they vainly seek, their god of love and hope becomes that god of suffering and tears. To force the doubts away, they create demands from their god. Their god demands total obedience Free will for man vanishes only "god's" remains Perhaps their god demands that others obey as well Please realize I DO NOT MEAN that this is how people who believe in god are. NOT people that naturally feel god calling to them. WHAT I DO MEAN is that the theory above applies only to those who cannot accept their natural beliefs. People don't change their own beliefs directly. They are determined by the persons genetics and the enviroment around them. That's my take at least. first i think that its about war, the currents ones to be more specific here's my breakdown of it: In a face a view, through eyes this world collides.
