To me this song is about relationship survival. the lines "it's safe to say i'm walking a lot/it's safe to say i'm thinner" could be a metaphor for all of the effort he has put into the relationship or friendship or SOMETHING, and how he's sort of exhausted. Then the lines "it's safe to say if we don't find food soon/we won't make it through winter" could mean that if they don't sort of find a way to make things okay again or to get things to work, then the relationship/friendship/whatever is not going to last. |
