"i never saw my parents, try to make a thing like me in time in the bathroom mirror, i learned to accept my body." This line was used before in the Odd Nosdam song "Kill Tone Two" |

| The Mars Volta – Conjugal Burns Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| “It was sort of like sleepwalking,” he says. “It was like something bigger than me was telling me to do it. I just felt drawn there somehow, just like when I went to Israel. I’d never heard of this place, but that’s where I was going. I got there, went out and buried it and didn’t make any conscious effort of figuring out how to get back there ever again. When it was done, I felt like there was nothing inside of me. I cried for days and days and didn’t understand why. For days afterwards, I wasn’t sure I wanted to play music. I wasn’t sure I wanted to do anything or have anyone around me. It was complete emptiness.” | |

| The Mars Volta – Take The Veil Cerpin Taxt Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I think this is after his journey and his suicide, and as he's going into the afterlife, but he doesn't remember anything of his past(suicide, drugs, everything)and he has no idea how he got to where he is. The cycle starts all over again. | |
| Red Hot Chili Peppers – Joe Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I am almost sure that this is about Joe Walters, one of AK's best friends when he was a teenager. He talks about him in Scar Tissue. | |
| Red Hot Chili Peppers – Whatever We Want Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| This song reminds me of C'mon Girl, I love it though. | |
| Red Hot Chili Peppers – 21st Century Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| This is the only song I really don't like by RHCP, well I actually love the lyrics but the whole song itself...ehhh. | |
| Red Hot Chili Peppers – Eskimo Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I can imagine this being a Mars Volta song...idk why. | |
| Damian Marley – There For You Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| wow didn't realize that it was actually in the song...wow... | |
| Jimmy Eat World – The World You Love Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
The Fighter, I've always thought this song was about rehab, glad to see there is some one else who agrees. "Don't it feel like sunshine afterall? the world we love forever, gone" --The world we love(the world of drugs) is finally gone, and it feels great. "we're only just as happy as everyone else seems to be" Finally normal again there's more i could explain but I'm lazy...:P |

| Jimmy Eat World – 23 Lyrics | 19 years ago |

23 famous number http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/23_(numerology) I wonder if this song is at all alluding to that. Anyway, this song is amazing but i listened to it a hell of a lot when i was in Hawaii so it reminds me of Maui, haha |

| Red Hot Chili Peppers – She Looks to Me Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| whoa, i just noticed how much this song is like I Could Have Lied | |
| Red Hot Chili Peppers – Hey Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| This is such an amazing song. The tone is just perfect, and the mood isn't too minor and sad but it still is, you know? And the funny thing is that the bridge starts out with E#m but it still sounds kind of uplifting. | |
| Damian Marley – There For You Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Adding to my comment, I'm pretty sure live he says "you've always been good to me, papa." | |
| Damian Marley – There For You Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
I know it seems like a lot of people would blindly say this but i think it might be about his dad, because of "You see, you gave precious life to me So I live my life for you...You..." but it could also mean someone else he loves. |

| The Killers – Bones Lyrics | 19 years ago |

bakismaki, yeah you're right, I thought you meant the one's in the chorus, I personally don't think the snyth sounds cheesy in this song, but in Sam's Town, I think that they are. I wasn't trying to bash you or anything btw, I hate when people do that. This song is great also...at first, I was really confused on why they would pick it as a single, but i totally see now. It's so catchy. |

| The Killers – Bones Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| The horns in this song are not cheesy synth horns, they're real. Look at the booklet. They don't even sound fake at all. | |
| The Killers – Enterlude Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| btw, i haven't heard this on the album yet, just the VMA performance. I wont download the album. | |
| The Killers – Enterlude Lyrics | 19 years ago |

I think obviously it's referencing to the hotel the album's name is based after, "We hope you enjoy your stay And it’s good to have you with us Even if it’s just for the day" as if the hotel's talking. But something else I noticed is that they went from, "Heaven aint close in a place like this." in STM, and in this they say, "It seems like heaven ain’t far away." There has to be a reference. This is an amazing song/intro. |
