| Razorlight – Kirby's House (Help: A Day In The Life Version) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| ...Just realised it does say 'child', but in the Help version. Album version says Kirby. Sorry. | |

Some of these lyrics are wrong. I think it's "from the stillness came innovation"....makes more sense. And the second verse is "KIRBY sleeps and then he awakens". Yeah. That's all I have to say. Good song. It does use the same line as the chorus of In The Morning, but they're still very different songs. I love them both. |

| Dirty Pretty Things – Last Of The Small Town Playboys Lyrics | 19 years ago |

Carl has said he didn't know of Morrissey's song until after he wrote this, and he would have named the album Last of the Small Town Playboys as well if someone hadn't told him of it. So no, not in response to Moz. Very much agreeing with gin&milk on the guitar fills. Great song. |

| Yeti – In Like With You Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I adore this song. I think the concept is pretty straightforward, not wanting to commit to a relationship, being happy with just being 'in like' but finding it hard when asked to be 'in love' with the girl in question, who keeps looking at him, expecting more. | |

| To me this is basically about being a teenager, but being a teenager myself I could just be interpreting everything that way. | |
| The Cure – Close to Me Lyrics | 19 years ago |

"I've waited hours for this I've made myself so sick I wish I'd stayed asleep today I never thought that this day would end I never thought that tonight could ever be, This close to me" All these lyrics make me think that this song is definately NOT about masturbation. Because I can't see that anyone would look forward to masturbating to that extent. And why would it be referring to a particular night if that was the case. It could be to do with sex, however that does fit with: "But if I had your faith Then I could make it safe and clean" This is what makes me agree with the whole anticipation idea. Whether it is positive anticipation or negative, nervous anticipation or anxiety I don't know. What I really want to know is what is meant by: "If only I was sure That my head on the door was a dream" I've been trying to work this out for a while. Is it simply referring to a dream? |
