The song makes me think that Andrew (and the band) may be "growing up" a little bit. If you look at P86's older albums, a lot of the songs (full of truth as they may be) focus on the negative. My Will isn't all bubbly and happy, but defeat is not its theme--struggle is. This is just speculation, but maybe Andrew's beginning to get past some of the demons that he's always writing about?
