Eminem – Bagpipes From Baghdad Lyrics | 11 years ago |
That's textbook Eminem humor. Hilariously bad auto-tune with some random hum-dee-lee-laaaaaaa-aaaa hahahahah. There was a lot of auto-tune singers around then. Everybody auto-tunes to an extent, but I'm speaking of the artists who crank it up to make it a style. Eminem, in my opinion was making fun of all of that. |

At the end when Eminem hums/sings that purposely auto-tuned hum-dee-dee-daaa-aaaa-aaaaa hilariously, I believe he was poking fun at all of auto-tuned singing that was popular around then and while Eminem was on hiatus. |

I have always and still do believe Em is poking fun at Drake with those lyrics. The way he says "MALL" at the end, abrupt with emphasis - you can almost picture the look Marshall would give you as he said that. It's perfectly hidden under the possible premise of praise for Drake. 1) I shut the club down like Drake in the mall! PROPS and/or 2) I shut the club down like Drake the mall! CALLING DRAKE CORNY I'm biased though. I want to believe this is what Eminem meant because I don't care much for Drake. |
Drake – Headlines Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Always remember: they are always talking about inside stuff you won't know about - it comes with the ego of being connected like he is as well as many other artists. Basically it's just a "im the best, we're taking over, dont even try to mess with us, youll be taken out" |

I just wanted to add that I think he is making fun of Lil Wayne and anybody else who uses that auto tune voice changing effect. For the past 2 years just about everybody uses that like its cool or something. It sounds TERRIBLE!! I noticed that the HUMMMMMDEEEEEEEEE LEEE HAAAAAAA Eminem says at the end sounds exactly like Lil Wayne. what do you think? my fav tune easy |

As for the meanings, yes I believe it is about the journey of man or great men, and how they will live even after death. You could also think mabye they were getting older and wanted to leave a song that keeps them alive....I love this song for so many reasons... I dedicate it to Ninh, the lil ninja V, |

I love this song, my brother in Augest of 2006 told me to listen to track 14 off of CASH'S hits album. I did. I wish I could go back to hear it again for the first time (as with most songs that I love) cuz its amazing! There are many things I love about it....what I noticed first was how they all sing in the same context, with tone I mean, and rhyme. I love the sounds that are added too like after "where steel and water did collide (sound)" And I love the drum beat how it keeps you pumped even in a country song kinda way. I believe this is the order of singers Willie (obviously) Waylon Kris Johnny (obviously) Someone tell me if I have Kris and Waylon's order correct. Someone tell me also, when was this song recorded? And if its as old as someone said (1985ish) Was the recording I listen to on CASH's HITS re-recorded and mastered by Rick Rubin because it sounds incredibly up to date. I listened to this constantly when I would bike ride in the summer for 3-5 hours. I saved this song for the hards parts going up hill in the country. I listen to the harder faster stuff in the city and down near the beach. I'm sure nobody asks for all of this stuff I say, but whatever...music owns me ;) |
The Rentals – The Love I'm Searching For Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Nobody said anything about the The System's Failed, all the circuits blown And the message lost, in this machine oh Tried all the codes, all possibilities All combinations but still nothing, oh Call for backup from my assistants but No one seems to know anything, oh Disconnect, shut the main reactor down And separate from this technology, oh I dunno, but the first time I heard this song in 94 or whatever...can't remember, around there though I was going thru some first love crisis with a girl I met on a bbs (old school dial up modem wanna be internet back in the day) Those lyrics made me think of how I met that girl I dunno, yeah i only did acid once, so you cant call me that nuts ;) |
Toadies – Tyler Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Tyler is a killer song, it pains me to hear of some people who are just hearing about it after 2000. Anyways Ive done it other songs/bands so I guess I can't say much. Nonetheless back in 93-94 the Toadies CD Rubberneck was playing constantly in my cd player front to back. The entire album owns. Anyways I saw them in Toronto in 96 opening up for the Chili Peppers and they rocked...yet the one song I really came for was TYLER and they DIDNT play it! I was bummed! Still a great show but this song Tyler is a love song to me regardless of the creepy lyrics and meanings. I agree about what a lot of people say its about regarding a stalker/prowler/rapist or just a dude who is obsessed and wants to watch this girl. Who knows! BUT I must say, the fight club stuff........WHERE IS MY MIND is from 1989 off the Pixies SURFA ROSA album. Pre-dating both RUBBERNECk *1994* and Fight Club. So............its just influence...nothing more, of course what the &u*k do I know?? Take care and ANYBODY who loves the Toadies or TYLER should listen to anything by them or Todd Lewis BUT one song that strikes me as NINJA (ninja meaning WICKED, AWESOME, KILLER) DOLL SKIN - from HELL BELOW STARS ABOVE their later release that I didnt start listening to til 2005 yep...sad isnt it ok DOLL SKIN, amazing take care |
