I think the first time I heard this song was a couple months back but it didn't really hit me until this weekend. thought the same thing about the beginning of this song sounding like Circa, , , soundwise makes me think of 80's/glory rock kinda thing haha, and the lyrics, def agree that it's taking place while everything is being destroyed, and everything that has happened is sinking in on Claudio and the fact that it's about to end, which is sad, but also kind of a relief for him considering everything that he's been through at this point maybe prob not the world of CoCa is crazy |

Def just makes me think of the aftermath of a breakup. He's cheated on a girl, she's left him, and he's just in limbo , , , now that he doesn't have her he wants her back, afraid of being alone forever, but then again, why did he cheat on her in the first place? cause he didn't want her anymore . . . . just a guess |

I think some of the lines in this song are from the writers perspective........ on the starland dvd if you watch the interview with claudio he talks about how the 4th album wll focus more on the writer,,,,, like we were supposed to know there was a writer the whole time?? (maybe we were?) anyway, think it's mainly about the writer paralleling his troubles with Erica Court to his story,,,, "you had better things to do, liar" - - the writer tormenting himself over how he didnt give Erica more of his time and the writer takes some of it out on Claudio K. "I've been cautious with the words I extend, allow this year before the world starts to end.." - see that as the writer saying yeah you thought it was bad, you're crying over newo and it's about to get a lot worse your fathers dead he passed in his sleep, and I woke to the sounds of her crying. Jesse tells him about his parents death. im still confused about "ignorning the words of your obnoxious little brother, kill or be killed spilled the words from your mother????" anyway just another theory |

Maybe it's about how everything is just about sex, not love...??? Oh no, she lives without emotion, she makes me better - just kind of made me think about how it wouldnt mean anything to her, it's just sex The title of the song and the chorus - Only for the night. and I agree with everyone else about how it becomes a drug to him.. He feels like he needs the sex to fill the emptiness.... but in the long run, it just makes him feel worse,,, the cycle. "I swear that it's the last time" i dont know, could be way off, just reminded me of a lot of the people you see in this society. She used to dream of moving pictures, Now she slips into the skies. |
