on the day i went out with my ex for the first time (our official first date) we went to a park for a walk and got this cd really cheap (like 4 dollars), this was only a couple of months ago, he kept the cd, now we're no longer together, and i find myself listening to this song and yes, he's 22 and he hides behind childs eyes and smokes weed a lot (which i don't really mind) and won't open up to anyone and if i had the guts and if he'd talk to me again i'd probably make him listen to this song so that he can find out how i feel about him.

I just love the fact that he cannot say the entire phrase and he has to spell it... because let's face it, even when you have that sick feeling in your stomach and when you feel that you and this other person are right in the centre of the universe... and even when you just want to scream "i love you"... it's not that easy... so i guess that's what Jarvis is trying to express in this song ^^ |

i've always thought this song was about a girl who seems to be in a "friends with benefits" relationship with this guy she has a big crush on. And she doesn't want to talk this over because she might completely lose him so she just wants to stare at him and cry 'cause it's hard for her to leave (she's just so happy when he's around that she can almost see the stars), but it's also hard for her to stay =(
