This song is pretty easy to understand.. It's obviously about a past relationship with a girl that he had and put a lot of his trust into, and somehow, she messed/broke this trust for her. As she's moving on, he still adores her and he won't let down without fighting for the love. Then it seems as if he's angry with her, but he still has feelings anyways. It almost seems as if he just wants to get over her so he can feel remotely normal again, and go about his life, but she still 'occupies his mind' and he can't stop thinking about her. "I've battled with this long enough; I should take a hint and realize that my luck's run out. But this summer's so much hotter, and so do you get every year. I travel back with hope that I've found home." |
