I didn't like the Watchmen movie either, but it had more to do with its rigidness and obsession with its own source material then a "big blue glowing dick". What "soft porn" are you talking about? You mean standard sex scenes that can be found in most commercial R-rated movies? Yeah, the one in Night Owl's aircraft was cheesy, but comparing it to soft porn is a bit of a stretch. And why, oh why, are you comparing what little gore there was in the movie to Saw, a movie within a completely different genre? Anyway, I didn't really care for this cover. |

Very beautiful song. And quite truthful. I suppose when an older individual sees the young'ns "ruining the world", they think back and realize it was the same for them years ago. This seems to be a terrible thing, but Bowie sings it in such a humorous and up-beat tone. The thing is, even though individuals change, they sometimes stay the same, in a way. Such a cycle of being a rebellious teen and growing up to look at the same mistakes looking back at you has been going on since the beginning of mankind (or, as far as I know, throught the modern age). And through all of this, the world has yet to collapse on itself, and it probably won't for all I know. |
