This is just MY opinion on this song .. to me , this song is about self injury and suicide memories consume Like opening the wounds - opening the wounds hes already created ... mentally and physically I’m picking me apart again- cutting himself You all assume I’m safe here in my room (unless I try to start again) - everyone thinks hes fine but hes not he has razorblades or knives in his room for cutting. maybe drugs. I don’t want to be the one The battles always choose - hes sick of being burdened with problems thathe has to overcome ‘Cause inside I realize That I’m the one confused - hes realized that he needs to fight this "problem" he has whether its cutting or something else. I don’t know what’s worth fighting for - he doesnt feel he really has anything or a reason to be here Or why I have to scream - no one listens to him when he trys to get help I don’t know why I instigate And say what I don’t mean - he has hate inside and he takes his anger out on his loved ones I don’t know how I got this way I know it’s not alright So I’m Breaking the habit Tonight - he realizes what hes doing is wrong and that its hurting people around him so hes breaking the habit (of cutting ) Clutching my cure I tightly lock the door (hes got the blade in his hand or maybe the drugs. he locks the door to his room so noone can come near him) I try to catch my breath again - he is tired and worn out of hiding his habit I hurt much more Than anytime before - things are getting way too hard for him hes thinking of a way out (suicide) I had no options left again ( he has no other cure so he cuts himself) I’ll paint it on the walls ‘Cause I’m the one at fault ( hes trying to tell everyone how much trouble hes in, how close to suicide he is I’ll never fight again And this is how it ends - he is fed up and cant go on i love this song ... i am a self harmer and i can relate becoz its so hard to stop even if you want to .. and some people say if you really wanted to stop cutting then you would ... that is true ... but lots of people cant stop becoz its such a release. |
