I don't it's on any of his albums, but I heard this song once while surfing his live performances on youtube. So, maybe it's still on there. |

What? You don't like it? It might be my favorite on the album, but yeah, it's over too soon.
Does anyone know what Faust Arp means? |

| Poe – Choking The Cherry Lyrics

I thought it was about that little voice in your head that makes you feel frustrated, self-conscious and paranoid.
"I can hear it in the hallway. It's out there laughing with its friends." |

I read somewhere that this CD is not only in dedication to Poe's late father, but also a soundtrack to her brother's book. I think the book came first. Or maybe the concept. But I don't really know. :P
Poe is definitely an underrated artist. And one of my favorites. |

I think it's about how everyone is seeing images of jesus and mary all over the place. In a sandwhich, on a tree... in a dollar store. Everyone gets so worked up over it and excited... even the subway cares seem to be praising halellujah. And it's all very silly when you think about it. |

I think this song is about how we are all the same, despite favoritism. Even icons are based off of the common man. She even names the character Prejektorinski, a name that seems to be a twist on the word "projector". We're all just meager humans each projected onto the other. |

I thought it was a thousand bucks too. Also, I thought she was saying, "Some day I will remember her" as in the character's mother. |

One of my favorite Polly songs. So chilling and shockingly real. Very sad. The way she drags out the revelation of Leah's suicide by counting down the months of her absence is brilliant. |
