Sublime – Seed Lyrics | 16 years ago |
You Can see it's about herion? How in the fuck is anyone coming to that conclusion...It's about a relationship gone bad. and by the by Mary is NOT about screwing under age girls, has it never dawned on anyone that he wrote it when he was 15 years old plus 1, hotter than a microwave oven...Does that sound like any other lyrics he has written as a grown man. no It sounds like lyrics written by a 16 year old. |
Sublime – Get Out! (Original 40oz. version) Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I Mean it could be someone else, everyone on this site says it's someone other than Brad that raps. Like they can't buy that Brad could rap, oor they deny that if it's not for Hip hop there would be NO Sublime. at least not how we know them... |
Sublime – STP Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I know ICE is lingo for Meth, but in this Case he is refering to Just Ice from NY...Brad was a big fan. and the Reference to Flavor Flav earlier in the line is streamed lined by Mentioning ICE. I think if he was talking about meth he would have said ice, rather than I-C-E. |

"Actually feeling like he is right back in the pen refers to feeling just as imprisoned by his addiction as by jail " Why on every single Sublime song on this page is there some little know it all who insist that ever single Sublime song was about Addiction...It wasn't. |
Slightly Stoopid – Sweet Honey Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I stand by Orginal Statement. this is the best band on the planet, and in the end, thety will be hailed as one of the best ever, but I still hate this song...I saw them a few weeks ago, and they kept saying this song is called Sweet Honey and then laughed and didn't play it...this song in My Humble opinion is horrible. |

"this wonderful generousity a third of our lives to do what we please doesn't look that great to me in fact it doesnt even look fair they call it youthful idealism and even I would have to agree with them except some of us grow up and its still there" Just wow. |
Operation Ivy – Bad Town Lyrics | 16 years ago |
comejoinus Nailed it. It's just the scene not any place in particular. He also nailed it about WHat Punk truly is. Some would say I dress "urban" but please believe I am punk rock thru and thru. It's not a style, it's a life choice. Punk Means thinking for yourself. Sorry about the previous post that was an accident. |

Operation Ivy - Bad Town Artists > Operation Ivy > Bad Town Submitted by emoJustin on November 22, 2001 Get Operation Ivy Ringtones! Your ringtone stinks. Get a new one. they call it a scene I call it disaster down here the kids grow up faster scared they're scared to the bone like a pack of wolves they don't run alone one on one they won't look you in the eye but when the pack's together there's a battle cry I saw it fifteen on one when the crowd dispersed the kid was done no (no more) no (bad town) no more bad town yeah down there you gotta have a label just like a cattle in a stable knee jerk reaction I call it violence why speak out when you could be silenced down there on the dance floor too much violence I dont want more down there out on the street I can see the air I can see the heat (chorus) 1 Advertisement by Spade9 on 07-18-2002 @ 07:26:23 PM A Great Ska Song About How Some People Grow Up by soothsayer on 08-30-2002 @ 10:29:04 PM I know it was written well beforehand, but this song describes NJ hardcore kids perfectly. They beat the crap out of anyone who doesn't have the "label". As for the original intent, yeah, life sucks in a lot of places. I was fortunate enough to move out of one. Op Ivy was such a great band. It's a shame Rancid can't be even half the band Op Ivy was by Skankinrudegirl101 on 09-22-2002 @ 06:59:59 PM i agree with the rancid shit lol! by foreignman on 09-27-2002 @ 06:54:06 AM actually rancid kix ass, but so does operation ivy. by Mumia_is_inocent on 03-04-2003 @ 05:11:02 AM rancid is more than half the band op ivy was. but they're still not as good as and never will be as good as op ivy. by NgohOiNei on 04-21-2003 @ 02:42:10 AM I live in Berkeley Ca where Op Ivy is from. I think this song was written about the sheep we refer to as punk kids who all hang out at a local club called 924 Gilman, where they started playing. comejoinus Nailed it. The Natural Selection – Decomposer Lyrics | 17 years ago |
The Song was written by The Don C. and the lyrics penned by M.C. Yates. it's about how you have to Die to become Famous. Yates is quoted to say"if we were ever gonna write a song about Big L or folks like him, this would be it. Big L was amazing and like so many others, I only heard about him in death." it is further believed the second verse is sole about Big L. As to Date No known recordings of this song exist. |
The Natural Selection – Alton St. Posse Project Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Mc yates wrote this tune, It's about his past experince while playing music with his former band. there is a few references to bands he looked up to in there as well for Example the Line"found Gasoline Alley, and it's all thanx to LoX." Lox was a friend of yates when he was in school who introduced Yates to Reggae and hip hop. Also upon one of his trips to Philly to See a band Lox helped him locate the TLA to see the show when Yates got lost. The Names at the end of the song in the outro are some of the people who Yates hung with when his old band used to practice at a house on Alton St in Pittsburgh. |

Nirvana – Verse Chorus Verse (Version 2) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Wow What does it matter what it was called? You know the first time I heard this song almost 14 years ago it was called VCV, and now it's sappy. I don't care what it's called, I just Love it. And why is everybody resprting to name calling and threats? if they heard a different tittle then they heard a differetn title. I read Journels, and when I came across these words and Sappy as a title the first thign I thought was isn't this VCV. So he changed the name, and then named another song with a previously used title. Who cares, does it make someone a better Nirvana fan than me if, even though I have been listening to these guys since 1990, and i thought it was called one thing, that because someone read something somewhere it makes them a bigger fan? I always thought the song was about our revelence to god, and the laundry room(not the in the literal sense) was purgatory... |

Sublime – Saw Red Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Ok this song is just about a bad relationship, And not about black and white babies...jesus put down the crack pipe. That's just an argument, And he is saying with the line that they are just arguing for arguings sake. I'll say white so you say black....Kinda like I say up so you say Down. Seeing Red is anger. When Someone says I saw Red it means that they are really angry. Every day I wake up, just a little bit more feelin' like a dog in the yard Because thats just how we are And every day I wonder if it's over When I wake up I realizin that WE HATE And I break down the wall... And in the end "It's your own life." (so do what you are gonna do) Rufff |
Sublime – Ain't No Prophet Lyrics | 17 years ago |
This IS a Slightly Stoopid Song. I have a recording where Brad even says this is a Slightly Stoopid song. Brad wrote this with the guys from SS. Slightly Stoopid does it slower and with no changes but Sublime the sound would change during the chorus. And the line is take everything she has to offer and keep it for myself. |
