I mostly agree with you guys, but I think it's more of a social commentary on our society in general. Not only that we miss the chance to help others on a personal level, but that we just ignore all the bad things in the world by tuning out. It's easier to put a song on and forget the day than remember that we're still involved in Iraq and Afghanistan, that soldiers are still dying, that genocide is going on right this minute, that our economy is collapsing. We'll all sit around and do nothing while the world falls apart around us, because it's more comfortable to just put on some music and ignore it.

I'm of the opinion that George W. Bush is one of the worst presidents the United States has every seen. Let's hope that whomever gets elected this time around will do a better job with military and foreign policy. That said, this is one of the worst anti-war/political songs I've ever heard. It's cheesy, hokey and does a very poor job of expressing anything in any meaningful, intelligent way. It is simple-minded, ignorant and childish; a song aimed at middle-class teenagers, nothing more.

I think you've got a valid point there foofoorae. However, I think that instead of saying "frail is stronger than weak", he's saying "If you took away my weaknesses I would still be frail." Great song.

I'm not quite sure exactly what this song is about, but there are a whole lot of similarities between the story told here and the walk made by the concentration camp prisoners in the book, "Night"
