I am totally amazed! I thought i'd have to scroll down 5 pages to make a comment, and then I find im only the second user to comment at all. This song is unbelievably beautiful. the music itself moves you, and the lyrics leave you wanting, and needing for ....I have no idea. I guess you want what he wants...he's just that strong. It's as though his voice was meant for this song, kinda like they found each other. Corny? Yea, I know, but the effects of this music is just !wow!...makes you mushy like that. I've read some of the comments the listener's have left, and I do believe the message you recieve will correspond whith your life and what you may be currently enduring. The message I recieved with this peice deals 100% in christianity. I feel the narrarator is speaking about death, and the issues of heaven only....not hell, onlly heaven.Perhaps, the end of time, actually the more I think about it; the lyrics lead me to believe he's speaking about "the end days". My views are this: His parents hands are frozen, but later lyrics speaks of nieghbor's and shadows "some of them big, some of them small." At first I thought he wass speaking ONLY about the "kids" now I'm entertaining the thought that maybe "his" parents didn't lead a life worthy of heaven's invitation. Then it goes on and say's he is looking for the light, he hears someone say "we've found the light, we've found the light".....then he says: light a candle for the kids, Jesus Christ don't keep it hid....asking for the ease to obtain the light, to follow, or find. (i suppose.) "I went out into the night, I went out to find some light Kids are dyin' out in the snow Look at them go! Look at them go!" It seems as though he's cheering these kids on because of heavenly eternity. Finally, almost the end he sings: "And the power is out in the heart of men Take it from your heart put in your hand. What's the plan? Is it a dream? Is it a lie? I think I'll let you decide. Just light a candle for the kids Jesus Christ, don't keep it hid. Now, it's as though he has recited to us astory, or maybe a dream he may have had. But still, he asks: Is it a dream...or a lie? You decide. You make your own judgement. Nevertheless, Just light a candle for the kids. Don't let them go without knowing God, don't keep them from knowing and loving him. Perhaps, he's telling us to do uor job as parents. Don't be responsible for not showing them the light. |

What I have to say really doesn't have much to do with this song but I just gotta say I went through lots of grief to find this song.....hours on the net, asking people on live sites who only wanted to give either wrong, or outta place smart *** comments, hair loss ( from pulling it out) and lack of sleep. I wanna say that all this grief was in every way - worth it, in every since of the word. Simply because, every last one of us have, are, or will go through the pain he was goin through when he wrote this song. For me, it brought back some really hard, emotional memories for me. I remember when he held my hand like he would never let it go, i remember when we talked about where would be a year from now, and it still makes me cry. Maybe more now than then. Thanks (AFA) for remindding me to be thankful, even if it's just a memory. |

My interpretation is this: "coffe black, egg white". Life is black and white, numbing, paralyzing, with nothing to feel...at all. "Pull me out from inside. I am ready" ready to feel, live, love, hurt. "covered in skin, noone gets to come in" Now prepared to take in emotion, and all the consequences within. I think, at some time, some one has really hurt him. This music, just the music itself (no lyrics), is so beautiful I can't help but cry. It makes you ( or me, anyway) feel his pain, travel the pain stricken road at his side, to comfort him, help him see that it's gonna be fine. everything's gonna be ok. |

Could you guy's "do it for me now" n stop whinning 'bout the cd and start talkin about something with just a lil meaning? Like ..... I think the lyrics are amazin! I mean, how many people haven't felt exactly like this atleast one time in thier life? it's heartbreaking, but in a sense....it's almost beautiful. This one sense, one feeling, and it's felt world-wide, almost every person (living or dead) has experience the act of love. (except death at very early age, or just very unlucky) At any rate, tom has brought to point, beautifully written lyrics to the most sought-after emotion known to mankind, and he has succeeded. the melodic value of this song is epic, as well. To sum it all up, in my opinion, this song is gonna be a strong #1 on the charts, if not.....it's gonna be really hard for me to believe. Actually, the whole album is Music Awards material. |

Ya know, only guys this cute, and totally sweet could pull it off, and they've done it quite well.
