This poem makes me think of a book of posters I saw once by Muslim artists in which Uncle Sam was depicted as this enormous green monster with bloody teeth and distended belly cobbling up brown people and oil barrels. Anyway, the Creature smells uncomfortably like America to me. |

| I don't know elfrijol, "Writhing in the old bliss" matches better grammatically or whatever with "Reeling in the sweet grip." Also, "old bliss" is something you presumably would "never forget" ...opus just seems wrong. | |
