Jamelia – Beware of the Dog Lyrics 18 years ago
By using that tune I'm guessing she's trying to get at the person who the song was originally by? Can't quite tell whether it's meant to be Depeche Mode or Marilyn Manson. Either way, she sucks.

3 Doors Down – Ticket To Heaven Lyrics 19 years ago
I think this song is being misinterpreted, it's less on the heaven and more on doing the right thing. The "Ticket to Heaven" is assumed, everyone wants to go to heaven, so, how does he do that? By "Lie in the bed that you make". He shouldn't run from "Everything" and live his own life. There's no "Ticket to heaven" that you just get given, you have to live your life and lie in the bed that you make. THat probably wasn't too clear but it makes sense t o me :S.

ENjoy this great band, peace out.

3 Doors Down – Let Me Go Lyrics 19 years ago
You have to see the video to really understand this song. I always thought it was about him saying that this girl thinks she knows him and she doesnt really know him, it would appear self evident from the lyrics.

It's true the moral/point of this song IS about how you can "love" someone when you don't really know them but oh boy, when you find out the truth, i.e. this girl is an erotic dancer he isnt too happy. He thinks he knows her now, but no, there is a twist, keep watching, why does she do this? BEcause if you watch, she gives a whole bunch of money to some old lady and also she has a kid to look after. In the words of Batman, or someone.... It's not who you are, but what you DO that defines you!

Enjoy, because Away from the Sun and Seventeen days are two of the greatest and most moving albums in the world. You can't listen to these albums and not get goosebumps. FOr those in love, those who have been, those who havn't been, those who are happy, those who are sad, those who have been hurt, those who have done some hurting or just life in general, you can relate to some of this.

Stereophonics – Rainbows and Pots of Gold Lyrics 19 years ago
Yeh, the first posts are correct, this song is Kelly singing to a friend of his who ran off with his girl/ex girl. Hence "Hows my friend, when's se gonna be YOUR wife"

Brings back sad memories for me this song because my best friend went off with my ex and we havnt spoken since.

Every little bit of this song just fits with how i feel about that.

Anyay enjoy if you can, or in my case when you feel like you wanna remember those who meant something to us once listen to this song.

Peace out.

P.S. Some of the lyric above are wrong, I know em off by heart naturally, so they need correcting.

Fall Out Boy – Sugar, We're Goin Down Lyrics 19 years ago
I personally think the "loaded gun/god complex" line is actually "loaded god complex"

Think of it like this ...
Yes, everyhting around it points to gun .... exactly why it works.

Because it's a loaded god-complex, read the god complex as the stand alone part.

This bi*** is playin with his heart here.

She's got a god complex (playin with his heart) whether she knows it or not, more likely not lol.

Either way, hes saying, take that god complex of yours, load it, cock it and pull it.

I can't think of the exact name for this in the english language but it's merging two different things with a similar sounding part common to both to make a metaphor(?) relating the two.

So the "loaded gun" and "god complex"

... She's might as well just shoot this guy for all the good it's doing him seeing how she can not give a damn like this when it's tearin him apart.

I will however say this, from listening to it over and over it is impossible to tell whether he is saying one or the other, but going by the innovation of these guys and purely on just how great they are as lyricists I personally feel "loaded god complex" makes soo much more sense.

Everyone enjoy, and may the song mean to you whatever makes your day that little bit better.

The Kooks – She Moves in Her Own Way Lyrics 19 years ago
This song in my opinion is a song he's singing to an ex. About his new girlfriend.
"I love her because she moves in her own way" saying that he loves this new girl because she is different. This song just hit home the moment I heard it. It couldn't be any closer to that meaning for me.
Now he's just saying "now you pour your heart out tellin me you're far out, not about to lie down for your cause", "oh ah oh, I love her because, she moves in her own way", besically just saying you're back complaining now telling me you can't handle it but not willing to make the effort. Have fun, correct the lyrics. Laterz!
