yeah, i thought of the white noise theory when i actually listened to the lyrics so midgets explanation makes complete sense to me. i love it when a whole bunch of people ar elike theorising over one song and then someone comes in who actually know the meaning and is like "well actually its about buying a hamster" or whatever... odd example... |

obviously a love song, to me it says "i cant be sure about anyhting, except u" and the whispering is a very good effect. billie is an awesome lyricist... i wish i could just make the words flow so well like him. |

i dont think she wrote it. i heard for this album she had professional writers read her diaries and work with her... but its an amazing song. i love christina, which always shocks people, becaus ei listen to liek nightwish, and apc, and crucified barbara etc. but she has such and amazing voice. shes even better live!! |

i think this song is about katie... yes i thinkt he songs have a link. and i think that one or both her oparents were abusive angry drunks, and obviously about her killing herself. but i think the happiness in the tune is symbolic of how the girl was now free. |

i really relate with this song, and what i see in it is missy is saying to this person she loves that she would rather be in "the darkness" with them than have to have them face it alone. and of course by the darkness she means depression but thats opretty obvious. i didnt really pay much attentiopn to these lyrics till the other day and they suddenly became clear to me because at the time i was with my boyfriend and he had a down moment. |

i think its about the same girl as the river. a little girl who for whatever reasons, killed herself. this one is more missy trying to see from katie's point of view. the "turn a blind eye to all the faces that u know" in my opinion is an expression of the selfish side of suicide. the anorexia thing makes a little bit of sense because it talks about her wanting control over her own self, but suicide can be about the same thing. some people dont like the idea of dying without the choice to. i agree like completely with biteme... yeah |

i just want to post that i think this song is about someone using anger to hide the fact that they are actually upset. it is also about them desperately wanting attention. alot of missy's songs seem to have a theme of depression. and the metaphors used...
eyes wooden: id bet my life this mean eyes dry because the person is refusing to cry.
"anchor...disguise": i think the crimson anchor thru the head is symbolic of violence and anger, and once again its saying this person is using it to hide.
