| Silverstein – Fist Wrapped in Blood Lyrics | 18 years ago |

My guess goes like this: Its about a girl he really liked, and still does, but he let her down somehow and now she really hates him. He know he let her down, so he cant blame her, "Please forgive me for not being good enough". "Drown your sorrows in my pain" - like, hurt me back and you might someday be ok. This also goes for "Your joy is my pain. My fingers are yours to cut off And my bones are yours to shatter in pieces. My teeth are yours to pull out And my soul is yours to slowly rip apart." And the last words, "I can't trust anyone I meet. From now on, my chest Feels more like a fist wrapped in blood." means that he no longer dares to trust anyone, therefore rejects everyone, pushing them away. Pushing everyone away from his heart until his chest feels like a fist wrapped in blood. Just my thoughts. |

I can really relate to this song, perhaps in a strange way. I belive its about drug abuse and the people around you, a person using drugs is often looked at like one of the lowest persons in society, a problem that sometimes is "denied, forgotten, surpressed". And as an addict you dont wanna be the reason to why your near and loved ones "surpresses" this problem; "I don't ever want to be the one to make you forget it I don't ever want to be the one to make you resent it I don't ever want to be the one to make you repress it I don't ever want to be, ever want to be, ever want to be et.c" "nterrogation has replaced the trust we had Your misguided accusations helping me to turn my back I know that" also fits, the trust people used to have for you, is replaced with suspicous looks and even interrogations, and often this is thanks to "misguided info" about the actual problem. "I thought that we would find our way I thought our life would be ok I thought that you believed in me But now it seems so far away" Is also true, since once this has word has gotten out among your friends and family, you can never hope to return to your old relations "The life we knew before is gone". This and someother things makes me think its about a drug use :). Just my thoughts. |

| @ Adularia, anyone could write a book, dont get fancy with it, it's just embarrassing how you think that would be proof to your "intelligence", when you post it somewhere where you are supposed to post what a specific song means to you... Retard. Argueing wich music style is the better doesnt really fit either... I dunno about your "uberskillz" but to post a comment, you actually have to hit the "Add" button, how did you manage to do that if your computer went blacked out? | |

First of all, the intro fucking sucks.. I belive this song is about someone being very "nice", ("The angel with perfect wings","And I shall count thee among my favourite sheep, and you will have the protection of all the angels in heaven"), someone having everything served on a silver plate. And this makes our guys mad, since this "angel" refuses to see him, since he's "lower" or something.. He still feels an obsession (love?) for this "perfect angel",being rejected or just invisible he stalks "the angel", sickening himself "..A sick, frail man, scared to look at his shadow". He tries to make the angel see the ugliness, see that everything isnt served on a silver plate. |

"You made this a game You made this a game You made this a game I've got to" is supposed to be "You made this a game My love will always be the same You gave this a name" |

I think this song is about people that doesnt really care about themself, having someone else "ruling" their lifes, leading them with false ideals. "Wide eyed sleepers" would then be the people being controlled. Jeffrey nothing sings about those people, while Jmann sings about how they lead them with false ideals. |

Imo, i think its about that he've done something stupid, and for that his girl makes him pay, like acting hurt just to hurt him.. Thats whats the first 21 lines in the above lyrcs are about. The final ones are about him "countering" this, thinking like "fuck this, its ben going on for to long" or "This is loveless Your love is hopeless".. Anyone getting my point? |
