Her vocals were just amazing, and I nearly cry everytime I hear it. The only thing worse than this song are the fan girls are their defense over the little tramp. "Avril is the best singer out there" I think someone needs to stray away from MuchMusic. Avril is the reason that people think punk is all about the pink skulls and ties. Personally, I believe she should take her lousy song writing skills, her horrible voice and stupid fangirls off the face of the earth, where they belong. But yeah, Guns N' Roses and Bob Dylan sound so much better. |

I always relate songs to what happened to me, and mine's basically the same, but slightly different. To me, the song is about a guy who lied to a girl, made her feel loved and all the BS, and then he took off, leaving her without a piece of her heart, and her dignity. |

Damn, it's a lovesong :(. Seriously, I hear it, and it reminds me someone and my eyes get all teary. It's weird, I don't normally like this style of music, but I find this one irresistable. His voice seems to be so filled with love, it just melts my heart. There's just something about this song that can fill me with a sense of longing, and this is one of the few songs that can truly make me feel that way. |

To me, this song is about two people (heterosexual or otherwise) who just want to get away, and are going to do so by running away. They're going to get away from people who have been cruel to them based on their relationship or rumours that have been started, so the two of them are leaving and starting fresh and trying to be happy. Sorry for any typos, and if you don't agree with my reasoning, don't be all "omg i can't believe u think that. u r so stoopid, u don't know anything, it;s a song to show how ghey they were" or whatever, it's just my opinion. Seeing as how I'm not going through 15 pages of people's opinions, I'm just going to write my thoughts down, sorry if it's already been discussed and proven wrong and whatever, I still want to say it. I think this song is about being gay/bi sexual and loving someone of the same sex, who happens to be straight. The first verse is just talking about they have a crush on a person. The chorus at this point makes you think that there's something wrong (or different) about the feelings, and how the other person doesn't know. The second verse is them lying to the person they like, saying they only like them as a friend, but the straight one finds out. Thena big Hollywood drama ensues? (This one confused me a bit) Now, I that there's more of a reason why this person doesn't want the world (Or that one person who could be their world) to see them, for not understanding how they could be attracted to a member of the same sex. And their friendship has been broken. I don't know, I probably got mixed up there, but I still say it has to do with a person liking the same sex and not wanting everyone to know. |

I don't care how many people said it before, I'm saying it again. There are far too many ocmments on how this is a break up song. The words are too powerful for something as simple as an overload of hormones! This song deals with death in a beautiful way, and I'm really aggrivated to see people assuming it's about that. Sorry for the rant, but it starts to get under my skin after a while. It's about suicide. "Look to a darkened sky as I turn blue" He hung himself. "There are no flowers No, not this time There will be no angels Gracing the lines Just these stark words I find" No one came to the funeral to lay flowers on his grave, the angels would not welcome him to heaven because he took his own life, and the stark words ar the suicide note. The haunting I believe is his memories and what drove him to this, and if he were strong enough, he'd tell the people why he decided to kill himself. The asphyxciate part I think is people being choked up by the fact that he is no longer living. You know, when you get that lump in your throat and you feel like you can't breathe? But maybe that's just me. |

The song is obviously about being self concious but learning to love yourself. It's a beautiful song, definitely one to listen to when you're in a "fat mood". I just find this song incredible. What startles me, is that there are so few comments for a song with so much emotion, while the Dirrty has at least three times as many! |

This is more on a personal leverl, but here we go: This song is about a girl who is deeply infauated or in love with a guy. But unfortunately, he's cold and callaus to how she feels. He plays games with her head (it could be anything, but my guess is by being there and warm and saying how much he loves her, and the next minute gone, not be found until he chooses to be with her again.) She realises that he's being so cruel to her, but she still wants him. Why? Because in her mind, if no one elses, he's perfect. This song reminds me so much of the guy I like, and how treated/s me. Sucky, I know, but it's a wonderful song. She truly has amazing vocals and the lyrics are so touching. Sorry for any typos as well. |

I agree with the people who say it's about a break up. It has the same meaning for me, which unfortunately brings back memories of what once was. I just think it's a great song, it's the first Lacuna coil song I've heard, and I just think everything about it great. The lyrics, (though I'm not a good judge) the instruments, the vocals, and it just blends well with my taste. |

The song makes me think of a woman who has just died and can see the impact it has made on her family, particulairy her young child. The way it's written, it makes me think that the singer and the subject are very close, telling each other everything, kind of like a mother-daughter realtionship. I love this song, I have listened to it for so long, and I still love it. Everything about it is beautiful, and the lyrics can be so touching. |
