i really love the last couple of seconds in this song, the big noise at the end, it reminds me of my fav show Lost. lol, i also mentioned that for swallowed in the sea. :) |

i don't know if its just me or anything but this song really reminds me of the popular show Lost. I'm not really sure why but i think its because of the line " get LOST and then get found, or swallowed in the sea. i know its kind of stupid, but it makes sense to me. lol! |

ok, well i really really like this song, it was my favorite when i first got the c.d so heres what i think it means. I really think that this song is about him using alcohol to escape a broken heart because he says, " trying hard to speak and fighting with my weak hand" i think that is kind of representing him being intoxicated, like, its hard for him to think strait and so on. then " driven to distraction, its all part of the plan" hes trying to distract himself from his saddness, and drinking or using drugs is all part of the planb to make himself feel better. " when something is broken( his heart) and you try to fix it, trying to repair it anyway you can" he'll go to any lengths to help heal his broken heart. "i dive in at the deep end" meaning hes getting way in over his head with his 'addiction', "you've become my best friend" as in the drug of choice has become everything he needs to be 'happy', " i want to love you but i dont know if i can" at the same time as being happy he knows its wrong so hes still aprehensive to use." i know somthing is broken and im trying to fix it trying to repair it anyway i can" he's trying to take aways the pain of a broken heart, anyway he can. " you and me are floating on a tidal wave......." its the feeling of when hes intoxicated, and he feels good for that moment. thats just what i think this song means, so yeah, its just one opinion.
