In 1968 Carlos Castaneda publish The Teachings of Don Juan" a biography chronicaling his apprenticship under the master sorcer (Or Nagual) Juan Matus. In Nagualism, it is taught that there are 48 worlds as whole and real as this one, and that one who conserves their energy may step between these 46+2 worlds. In Nagualism Muscle Memory refers to memories being stored in the actual physical muscles of the body, which a practitioner must reclaim in order to "Reach the totality of ones self". Here's my take on the matter: The song is a clear poke at those who make (shady) inferences to pot smokers being stupid (you must have been high), while upholding themselves as virtuous...though their deeds are often villainous (nonetospeakof mentioned Kangaroo Courts which I think is totally on the mark, but he cited the specific instance of Gitmo while I think he's referring to kangaroo courts in general. A Kangaroo Court is any court that gives the illusion of a fair trial while the verdict was decided beforehand....like people condemning "Lazy stealing potheads") I agree that there is much more to it than the marijuana issue, but using marijuana as an example of how judgemental people can be. Who are you to wave your finger, you must have been out your head I hold deep in muddy waters, you practically raised the dead (Think my sight is unclear while yours is the essence of virtue) Rob the grave to snow the cradle (Cocaine (snow) in the nose (Cradle) being a reference to the vices held by the self proclaimed "Righteous") and burn the evidence down Soapbox house of cards and glass so don't go throwing your stones around (Hypocrisy) Foot in mouth and head up ass, oh what you talking bout? He's guilty, ask the govornment (People who assume that just because pot is illegal that it takes a criminal to do...the rampant thought that anything illegal must be bad or it would not be that way (Again the reference to kangaroo courts...a metaphor for how people make judgements regardless of any supporting evidence)) Eyeballs deep in bloody waters (The damage caused by the hypocrite in question) I'm sitting the sidelines on the Ganja police/please line...sounds like police to me, but even that could be seen as a statment from either party, depending on whether it is a Ganja Police! or Ganja Police? |
