personally i think the song is empowering. "Throw the chains all away, take control of your life. Powers known, THIS IS MY... DREAM! " at first he is at the mercy of his "demons". but be begins to realize that no matter whats happening to him this is HIS dream and he doesnt have to tolerate it. the dream is a metaphor for life and existance. hes telling us "Through light this mind awakens, I draw the line from then and now." and with that light...whatever light it may be... it can be anything for any of us...he can take control of his life. Things from the past will no longer hold him down which gives him the power to control his FUTURE. thats what i felt like at least. |
