a guy is unstable. i believe the thing here is that the rage has already happened. I mean that's why he's so regretful. he was enraged, and she ran away. And I also believe that, as he is unstable, he manages to picture her with someone else, someone better than him, and not finding here at the 5and dime is all he needs to believe that she doesn't need him anymore, so after he's alone it doesn't matter if hes suicidal. i wouldn't say he's suicidal, just because of the last line. the blank page is more like a gift to both of them from him than anything else, he's freeing them both from the relationship that's why it's blank, because she can do anything with it. a pure fresh start. I think he meant to write it like this: blank page is, all the rage... never meant to say anything. ANyway, I might be wrong. I mean it just seems more interesting to me that way. I think the last line shows that he's better now, that's why the song is sad, because when you're in love a good ending without the significant other, is not what you want, he's sad because nothing worked as planned, together. |
