this song is such a jem. even though it;s quite unknown I love it's truth. No candy coding, just the plain and often painful truth that comes along with faded love, or deceiving love. I love the angle. In 99% of songs, the victim is the one we hear talking, in Tiny Vessels, we get a glipse into the other side, which is often portrayed as evil. I just admire the strength that came along with writing such a truthful piece of music. I also really like how well it ties into "Someday you will be loved" |

I know what this song is about. But to me it means something completely different, and what I love about it is that anyone can find their own meaning to it. When I hear this song I think about fighting for what you believe in even though it really hurts and not giving up even though you know you're losing a lot in the process. My favorite line in the song is " too late to make it right, probably wouldn't if i could" what i love about this, is the sense of no regret and even though things didnt end up how you originally imaged them to, in the end, it's all ok. |

this was the first Jimmy song I ever really fell in love with it. I heard it for the first time on one tree hill and ever since then I have been obsessed with it, and that was two years ago. I'm not sure what it is but there's something about this song that everyone can read and relate to. The few lines that for me are the best "I know it but can't help feeling differently, I loved you and should have said it, but tell me just what has it ever meant." I think this song is about someone with bad timing, who loved someone who didn't feel the same way, as often as it happens, it never gets better. Alright, my meaning of this song is weird but I think it's right. Lets say guy one is with this girl who is cheating on him with his friend guy two. These three people are part of a larger group of friends, everyone except for guy one agrees and thinks the girl is better off with guy two. This song is about guy one finally being able to give up this girl and come to terms with the reality that she isn't meant to be with him as much as he believes that they're meant to be together. I also think that guy one has kept this girl around longer than he should have even though he knew that he no longer really had her mentally. He is being forced to give her up even though he knows he already has. |

This song is totally amazing! I've loved it for as long as I can remember. When I first read it I assumed it was about abuse, but once my friend went thru a situation exactly like the one in the song, I realized it's just about loving someone you know you shouldn't, or who makes you someone you don't like being: vulnerable. It's also about seeing the truth behind someone, or realizing who they really are when you've been blinded from reality. It's also the typical story of not being able to let go, though you know you should. It doesn't only have no be, getting back together with this person, but letting them continue to control your life long after you should have let go. |

This song is the best on the cd hands down. It not only captures the moment but it makes you feel as though you are right there. it is probably the best Dashboard song ever. Seeing it performed live was unbelieveable!!! I think this song is about nothing more than a summer love during it's last days...when both people know it has to end but neither of them want to admit it. Jokes are made to hide the tears and everyone is trying to avoid the reality that every has to end eventually. Very simple...a relationship that ended with everything left up in the air. Leaving everything just as it was so one day there is a reason to go back. By leaving everything "unsaid" it lets there not be a real goodbye and a way to one day pick up where everything left off.
