| The Exies – 1970 Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
I am most likely wrong, seems like he is singing about just a point in the 1970's when Muhammad Ali was at his highest point, he was breaking down racial barriers by being allowed to box in Georgia. It seems like his high point was in the early 1970's. | The Exies – Creeper Kamikaze Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Oh, for reference, the song was release in 2003 or post 9/11. In addition, much of Exies lyrics were written in 2001, so it is possible that this is about 9/11 and overall about forgiving those who oppose and try and hurt you, whether they are Japanese, Arabic, etc. | |
| The Exies – Baby's got a new revelation Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
Generally from my perspective this song is about a girl doing LSD and having a life changing experience and finding a "new revelation". "One trip, I fell into a big drop While choking on a rain drop, and I ain't thirsty ... no" - LSD or ACID is usual dropped from a vial or a bottle onto a piece of paper / sugar cube / whatever. This explains the trip being really a big drop or a lot of LSD in a hit. Then having a life changing moment, "choking on a rain drop". Then from the constant saying "Do it again". LSD tends to cause people to repeat themselves over and over again. |

| The Exies – Creeper Kamikaze Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| : / I slightly disagree with the WTC idea. If you listen to the lyrics he is almost saying o the Kamikaze that they will live on through him and says to us to forgive them. Not terribly a popular idea. Yet, he uses the lines, your jut dieing to be right, similar to how many terrorists feel their deaths will change things. However, none the less, I think that the song is in references to a different tragedy. Pearl Harbor seems like a very likely possibility as well. | |
| Monster Magnet – Black Balloon Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I am going to go out on a very short limb and make the assumption that this song is about drugs. Seems like the singer is trying to get the same high he used too, but isn't anymore. | |
| Black Rebel Motorcycle Club – In Like the Rose Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Really Amazing song off Take Them On, On Your Own. | |
| Stereophonics – I Wouldn't Believe Your Radio Lyrics | 18 years ago |

| Everclear – Chrysanthemum Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
Chrysanthemum in Europe are a symbol of death and are usually put on graves or used at funerals. Art was really into drugs in his early years. Dunno. |

| Spoon – All the Pretty Girls Go to the City Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
Why is it I can see jxnarcoticz putting on a sad puppy face. (No offense meant, I think LoserNo1's comment was out of line). I doubt this prostitute idea. It seems more likely that the meaning is deeper and falls more into the idea that 'AS THEY WERE OLD ENOUGH' girls all tend to want to go to the city and try and live this glamorous life while they act all tough. |
|
| Spoon – Get Out the State Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
Sounds a lot like something by the band bush, I think this song is generally about how: "Kids will go to such extremes" It starts out with the singer waiting on the curb, ready for work. It could have some reference to a prostitute or a Day-Laborer? Or it could just be him waiting for his friend to pick him up so that they can jump town. |

| VAST – Japanese Fantasy Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
Seems like the singer managed to escape and start over but even tho he tried like everyone else he was pulled back by someone that he is trying to hold on to The rocket ship took me so far away From the fields where I had lost my way /* Escaping from where he is from where he can't find himself or what he is doing with his life */ A million people with a million souls On a rocket ship that lost control /* like with everyone else who tries to escape, he loses control and... */ All I ever wanted was to feel Like I had done something with my life All I found was you /* ...can't get free of the person he keeps coming back to. Even tho he is trying to be free and do something with his life, he keeps coming back to that one person */ I love this song. ( I love you Sara) |

| Stereophonics – Mr. Writer Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Ode, that could work also because I don't think he would be singing this if he didn't have hope that they could change. | |
| The Format – Time Bomb Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
Well, this song touches on: Drug use "Was it worth what your friends put up their noses?" and Generally cheating. The singer is basically saying that he is moving on because she is a timebomb is going to explode again and again. She has before, judging from: "what you did to your wrists" Thats just my take |

| She Wants Revenge – These Things Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
Heroin. Consider the following.: Its cold out - could be a reference to going cold turkey. Possibly the singer was doing heroin and as a result she got into it as well. She's locking me out, she's in the bathroom, she pleasures herself. She is addicted and does not want him anymore in her life. just a thought |

| Devo – Mongoloid Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Killer Song. One of Devo's best. | |
| Tears for Fears – Laid So Low (Tears Roll Down) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
Amazing song, No idea of the meaning or whats behind it. Would love to hear other people's thoughts. I can't make a very good interpretation, because I draw so much of it as parallels to my life. |

Or possibly A relationship that is one sided, in which one side is afraid of the other, even tho, on the outside it looks like love. |

| X Japan – Blue Blood Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| One of thier most powerful songs. Seems generally like it is about an overwheliming sadness and breakdown. | |
| Hilary Duff – The Tiki, Tiki, Tiki Room Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
No heart to the song. No emotion. Didn't expect anything different. :puts on fake pose and uses Hilary's voice" Ah! Like so in a Tiki Bar! Ah! Like..um...yea...Birds...like yea...little birds fly away...like yea..totally..omg... How people like this are adored is beyond me. |
|
| X Japan – Weekend (English) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
Art of life is a masterpeice. This song seems to be generally about being at the wits end and desperately rushing to get to the 'weekend' and the only thing that the singer is holding onto / not wanting to lose is "Your Heart" (One of my Favorite Songs.) |

| Infected Mushroom – Illuminaughty Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
I have tasted of the fruit and it's opened up my eyes It's given me a thirst that's so hard to satisfy Garden of Eden...Forbidden fruit...Opened my eyes to the knowledge of good and evil. The thirst for understanding that is so hard to satisfy. Then this makes sense: I have fallen far from above landing here with such a bump! Throw out of heaven and the garden of eden. Just a thought -NeonTempest |
