New York Dolls – Stranded in the Jungle Lyrics 19 years ago
Well when I was a kid (16) we would party at the Heineick hotel (boys and girls) and this was the anthem. We would sing every word and this was the major party song. It was 1975. Now in my mid 40's whenever my close friends would come over for dinner, I would pull out the disc (my 18 yr old daughter burned it for me) and play it. All my youthful memories would be rekindled. What a great song!

Led Zeppelin – Achilles Last Stand Lyrics 19 years ago
I have been listening to these guys since 1976, and I must say that the thing that makes their songs so captivating is the intro. Every classic has that long intro before you get to Plant's vocals. This song, kashmir, stairway, no quarter, song remains the same (especially live), the list goes on and on. It builds and builds and then the crash of the backbone (Jones and Bonham)...are truly amazing. Every classic is a journey, Plant and Page are verygifted.

Inspite of all the favored rap and current jungle music, my 12yr old son can easily pick out Plant's voice and guess Zeppelin, even if he's never heard the song before.....these guy's are timeless!

The Goo Goo Dolls – Name Lyrics 19 years ago
I wish I knew. The haunting pace of the guitar and clean voice are soothing. I get emotional every time I hear it. I know it makes me think about my youth some good some bad, nontheless youth. The guitar entrance is captivating.......noyhing more to add, just good stuff!!!

Pink Floyd – Learning to Fly Lyrics 19 years ago
This song is about one's soul departing the human body and moving to heaven. The physical nature on how this is acheived is the connection with human flight. If you think of moving to the afterlife and then read the lyrics, you can almost visualize it taking place. Again think of how it follows the water and rowboat sounds....like a search party seeking a drowning victim, then it explodes into "Learning to fly"
Just my thoughts!
