For me, each line seems to be a fragment of an overlying theme "I die in my daydreams" "the gardens have been overgrown" for example, they don't continue on the same line of thought, however add meaning to what Davey is really trying to communicate: depression. I love the line "I die in my daydreams" because one usually has pleasent daydreams of what they 'hope' will happen in their life, which is an obvious example of suicide. I love this song, especially the heading of it. "No poetic device", its so malencholy. |

I agree, I don't think is about the fans, I think it is more revolved around humanity in general. When this song was released, I doubt that AFI had a huge fan base, therefore I believe that it may be revolving around another aspect of humanity. Perhaps a personal experience? I'm not overly sure. |

This is a very powerful song, lyrically. There's such an overtone of sarcasm; Davey is expressing his discontent for another, perhaps a previous lover, who seeks 'attention'. "I'm not angry, I'm just amused" I love those lines, they're such polarities, but it works well. Ironically AFI often refers to being 'lonely', however in this one he is basically saying "get over it". |

This is an awesome song for mudvayne, it definetely looks past the anger of normal metal songs, and explores social contexts. It is very true, and the lyrics make me think of weakness. "Running away" helps me see a more subtle and brittle side to the band. I think this is definetely a different song for mudvayne, the lyrics are awesome, so is their unbelievable passion. |

This song is amazing. I agree with BRITEDARKNESS, that is by far the most amazingly provocative part of the song. This is so poignant, everytime i listen to it I shiver... it always makes me think of how lucky I am in life, compared to many others. |
