I think my first post didn´t work-.- I love this so damn much!! It was my first favourite one, when I got the new album^^ Perhaps it´s about their time as a band, and their celebrety... "Well there's something in the way She said I hate you 'cause you breathe It's not the first time that I heard it" that could be about the bad feedback they get from some people who, don´t like them.. and: "I'm so tired of explaining Every minor detail of my life" means the interviews, they have to give and they just want to say: Oh, what the hell, we´re just having fun in the daytime etc. and we don´t care about what you think.." It´s just a tought...I´m not really sure about that and it could be about a lot of other things^^ |

i cant believe how perfetcly this song fits to me and my situation... i was going out with this guy and he kept on telling me he liked me lots, but wasnt ready to fall in love with me... one day not too long ago he told me, he just wasnt able to love me, so he had to break up, but he knows i will find a perfect guy who will deserve me much more then him... he basically said the same things as in the song... and thats kinda beautiful :) |

okay , after i read the book i wanna write my opinion in here too... i dont really know, after most of us agree that the cd is a story, the song actually has a meaning of it's own or is just based on the book, but whatever... oh yeah, first IF YOU HAVENT READ THE BOOK INVISIBLE MONSTERS, DONT READ THIS!!! MASSIVE SPOILER!!!! GO READ IT FIRST, IT'S FUCKIN BRILLIANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! okay, some thoughts... the song is made like the book is written, with short phrases etc. the setting, is the moment at the beginning and the end, after brandy got shot by evie, and she's lying there and now she gets all the attention again, neither manus, who's fuckin the guy, or shannon, who burned the house or evie, who's the 'burned bride' and just shot brandy... that's why they are asking... yeah, she doesnt want the attention, but are you sure you let her have it? the shotgun wedding, is evie's wedding! 'you pulling the trigger all wrong', could either mean that evie couldnt kill brandy,(although brandy maybe did want to die) because the book was in between, or it didnt really work out for shannon that she shot herself like she thought it would. she said once, two inches higher i would have been dead, two inches lower, nothing would have happened... Well she didn’t choose this role But she’ll play it and make it sincere i think that means, that brandy didnt really chose to be a woman, it just happened (i mean u all know how and why etc.) but now she's gonna play it! the give me... thing, is obviously a direct reference to the book, where shannon's inner photographer always screams... give me this, give me that... But they believe it from the tears And the teeth right down to the blood At her feet... i think that could either mean brandy or shannon, brandy, because she doesnt look like a guy, and they believe shannon that somebody else shot herself (i prefer shannon, cuz of the teeth mentioning, and her jaw is missing so, she just has her upper teeth...) now, my favourite quote ^^ "boys will be boys hiding in estrogen and waering aubergine dreams" i mean that's obvious, after three of the four main characters in the book are (almost) guys, who had a sex change, or gonna have it soon (manus), estrogen is the female hormon, so boys are boys, but they hide inside a female body, and behind aubergine dreams (the name of brandys eye make up) so they waer make up etc. to hide themselves... btw, I LOVE P!ATD!!! |

im really surprised that nobody saw the meaning of the line ' honey, why you're calling me so late' especially at the end... I think at the ends he tries to say, why are you calling me so late, not from the time, that it's late at night or something... it means, that it's too late for them to talk, she should have called earlier, cause now it's been too long and they cant be together anymore... i was really sad when i figured this out... there will be no happy end for them, but they have different relationships now, and i guess they have to learn to live without each other... |

yeah, these lines are really awesome, h2min! I think the song is about a relationship and she (or him^^) tries very hard to "carry" him, and abides the bad things for both of them but she gets tiered of doing all that,(Ich seh uns beide, du bist längst zu schwer Für meine Arme, aber ich geb dich nicht her ) and she really wants to rescue the relationship but she is not strong enough. She doesn´t want to loose him and wants to carry his problems beyond but can´t do that anymore because she is to weak... or something like that;) |
