amberxtwilight: If you're directing that post at me, I think you should read all of my posts on this song. I like MCR and actually own both of their albums and the DVD and this is one of my favorites. The thing I HATE is when people label BANDS by their own opinion. They don't say "I THINK they suck!" they say "They suck!". Notice the THINK cause that makes one hell of a difference. Also there are emos and people with black hair and clothes who listen to MCR and stuff like that. I'm neither of them cause I hate being a part of a mob. Still I have friends who dress in black and so on, but they are nice people, who doesn't whine about every single thing in their lives. They've seen that life outside their own SO-CALLED "awfull lives" is much worse in places and whining about "oh no, that band split up, I'm going to cut my wrists and whine" is actually very egoistic. Yet again there are emos and people that like emo music, but doesn't act like an emo (the people I like). And you're right, anyone can be suicidal. Just to clear things up I think this song could be about a lost friend maybe. He misses the old times where they were drinking together and patying, but the person he speaks of has comitted suicide. Yup that's what I think it's about. Pretty straight forward interpretation but still a great song. And "amber", I like the line in your post "It's so emotional yet so simple". Great explanation. |

The video really touched me, and at the same time I was disgusted. But I'm glad I watched it, cause I didn't know things were THAT bad. Guess Rise Against got their message out correctly :) |

| "leavemesour" I also enjoy some of My Chemical Romance's music, and this is one of them. But I still can stand people who pity themselves, it's awfully selfish. | |

Oh and [EmpireOfDirt] you're bad at argumenting, you know that? You CAN argument with people without bashing them. Please, do grow up in a while. Good? Good. |

I do agree with you at some points [yournamehere], but to call Tool unoriginal is really misunderstood. I've never heard anything like Tool (Carey's drumming, the weird beats, the use of guitar etc.). You can say you don't like Tool but you can't take their originality away from them. To strenghthen my argument, I want you to listen to the songs "Schism", "The Grudge" and "Lateralus" by Tool. After you've done that, try to find some songs that sound anything like it. Think you're gonna have a hard time, to be honest. And if you call their lyrics pointless, listen to songs like "46 & 2", "Vicarious", "Rosetta Stoned" and "Ticks and Leeches". I do agree with you on the whole emo culture, thinking their lives are so awfully miserable, when you look at african childrens horrible lives. The emo's so called "awful life" is nothing compared to other people in other poor countries. But please do look into bands with insightful eyes before posting comments about something you do not know. I repeat myself, "you can call Tool bad music, but you can't take their originality away from them." |

| Hoobastank – The Rules Lyrics | 19 years ago |

First Comment! Woohoo? :S Ah well this is kinda an opening to Born To Lead, where they tell you to be the leader, not the follower. The person you hear is obviously a military leader. Then Hoobastank says that all need to be leaders as him, not to listen to the words he shouts in your face! Do your own will, not what others tell you to do! |

This song gives me the creeps. But in a good way. Matt's voice is so beautiful in this song, that it's shivers all over my body when I hear this song. And when Matt begins on his "Piano Solo" in the middle of the song, I almost go into tears. I know this sounds kinda like I'm a wimp, but i really think that the song is THAT beautiful! It's undescribeable! It really is! This is a milestone in music. A more amazing, fantastic, beautiful song you'll be looking long for. Yes, this sounds a little too "fanboy" like, but I really feel this way. |

This descusion of yours is one of the most childish i've ever heard. "You shut the fuck up, they rule! No you shut up, they don't rule. Yes they do. No they don't. Yes. No." That's should pretty much cover what you guys are saying. Pull yourself together!! |

And please people, don't discuss wether they are tool influenced or not. Either write what you mean about this song, or write what you think the lyrics are about. Thank you. |

Ok, I have an idea what this song could be about. Martin Luther King once made an organisation called M.I.A to support blacks some time ago. So maybe this song is about the struggle between blacks and whites? "I'm made of peanuts, not of shells" means that it's the inside that counts. It's not my color that decides who i am. "Why, I made a face that bugs you" could mean: Why do you hate me so much, because of my color? Just a though. |

Probably one of Taproot's best songs ever made. The opening with that mysterious guitar, and then explodes into a powerful guitar riff, just blew me away when I first heard it. Great job from Taproot |
